Ruby's pov

Today is my birthday yay not the sarcasm I hate it because I know that no matter what happens my bio family will never love me like they do hope which still to this day I can not understand as we are equally talented but they didn't know that when I was 8 I got really sick or so I thought but it turns out it was my magic coming to the surface and now thanks to Davina I am more powerful the any Michelson has ever been. I had even helped them but of course they didn't know that they thought it was someone on the other side not in the other room.

At around mid day I went for a walk around the quarter as I did nearly every day and stopped at the same first it was a small café that had the best hot chocolate in the world and the owner was so nice she would always give my a cookie that she backed fresh every day even thought I told her on many occasion that she didn't need to but she would take no for a answer so I always snuck the money for it into her tip jar. Your probly wondering were I get my money as it is very clear that dad wouldn't give me any as he doesn't even know I have ever left the compound let alone that a go out everyday and only come back there to sleep no marcels give me 100 dollars ever Sunday I don't like this but it helps him feel better for not taking me out of there but he cant they would kill him and that would kill me.

After the café I walk around saying hi to all the people I had got to know over the year in the beginning they were quite shocked that a 6 year was walking alone but they soon got used to it and now everyone kind of made sure to keep an eye on me which was nice I mean the Michelson never did but it was almost as if the hole of new Orleans had become my big family I couldnt be happier.

I was tiered so I went back to the compound early thinking I would be able to just go to my room and read until kol came to get me so I can go see marcel and all his vampires they were so fun but I was very wrong as soon as I stepped thought the door I was surrounded buy the hole Michelson clan which was quite scary. I tried to walk up the stairs when Klaus call after me and told me to come and sit with them so I did so very slowly so if this was a trick I could run at the first sing of danger, we wanted to wish you a happy birthday said my mother.

um ok thank you can I go to my room now please and without wait for a replied I ran to my room knowing that I only had to wait a little over 2 hours until kol can to get me so I can see my real family.
