Outed...

Chapter 1

                      Nagito's POV

I walked like usual to school, ignoring everyone in my path...only hearing the sounds of traffic and people talking to their friends. I wished I wasn't so lonely but I was quickly reminded of the boy who saved me from the hands of despair by the sound of his voice calling my name.

  "Hey Komaeda!"

  "Huh?" I turned around to face the voice, "Oh, hello Hinata-Kun!"

  "I thought I'd never catch up to you."

  "Really? I thought I was walking at a pretty normal pace." I tilted my head in confusion

  "Anyways,how are you today?" He asked me, clearly changing the subject.

  "Pretty well actually, though I don't know why you'd want to know about trash like myself's day." I began to self depricate, as per usual.

  "I'd like to know because you're my friend! Not just my friend, my best friend!" Hinata-Kun exclaimed towards me.

I felt my face heat up at his words, "Oh, really? Well it's an honor to be considered your best friend." I tried to controll my blush as I began to speak again, "Enough about me though, how are you?"

  "I'm doing good!" His voice had no hint of lies in it.

  "Well that's,good I'm glad you're doing well." I smiled as I concentrated on the path infront of me. We'd finally made it to Hope's Peak Academy and I left Hinata-Kun to go to my locker and put away the unnecessary stuff. After I'd finished doing so I looked around to see that Hinata-Kun had already left so I headed to my class.
I finally arrived at my classroom and I put my hand on the doorknob, turning it and opening the door revealing the inside of the classroom and my class mates. I looked around, earning a few well deserved dirty glances. I was snapped out of my train of thought as I heard my teacher's stern, clear voice.

  "Komaeda, you're late."

  "Ah yes, I'm sorry ma'am. I lost track of time when at my locker." I explained, hoping I wouldn't get punished.

  "It's fine for today, just don't let it happen again." She spoke again.

  "I won't!" I called out cheerfully then walking to my desk, Hinata-Kun looking at me with a concerned expression. I looked around, I really didn't want to be here but I guess I have no choice, right? Time passed slowly as I zoned out multiple times during the class, not learning much this period. The bell rang as I stood up and began leaving before hearing the soft voice of my classmate and friend, Chiaki Nanami.

  "Hey Komaeda."

  "Huh?" I turned around to face her, "What is it Nanami?"

  "I noticed you were zoning out a bunch during class today." She pointed out.

  "Oh, was it obvious?" I asked, in concern that I'd get caught and punished.

  "Kinda, but don't worry about it." She shrugged before continuing to speak, "Besides that, how's it going with Hinata?"

  "We're just friends and it's gonna stay like that." I replied, stating the obvious facts.

  "That's what you force yourself to believe but I know deep down you want to be more than friends." She calmly stated, reading me like a book.

  "Okay, whatever you say..." I brushed it off, trying not to believe a word she said.

  "You know I'm right!" She called out before I left the classroom.

Saturday, March 25th (aka the next day)

I sat in my bed pondering my feelings for the brunette boy who I held so dear to me, then those thoughts were brought to a halt by a notification sound. I turned on my phone,  entering the pass code and opening the notification which was a text from my cousin, Sonia Nevermind.

Sonia: Hey Nagito

Me: Hm, what is it?

Sonia: You know I'm not one to spread rumors, so please believe me

Me: Okay...

Sonia: Souda has started a rumor and started telling everyone you're gay

Me: He...what?!

Sonia: Yeah...

Sonia: I figured I'd let you know before things got out of hand

Me: Do you know who's been told?

Sonia: Our whole class....

Me: Oh....

Me: Thank you Sonia

Sonia: Please be careful on Monday

Sonia: Several people didn't react positively....quite negatively in fact

Me: I'll be safe, don't worry about me

Sonia: Okay, let me know if you need to talk

                             . . .

I held my hand over my mouth in shock. I started panicking...how did he find out and why did he decide to tell everyone. And alot of people reacted badly?! It wasn't long before I broke down... I'm doomed.
