The End... For Now

After they left in their boat, I called Blackjack and a few of his friends to get us back to camp. We dropped Drew off at her house. On the way to camp, Annabeth leaned in close and said, “Thanks, Seaweed Brain,” kissed me, and held on tighter as she laid her head on my shoulder.

I couldn’t help thinking about the stranger parts of the day, but I tried not to think about them too hard. I could still call on Carter if I needed help, and the others hadn’t seemed all that bad, although Sadie kind of reminded me of Thalia, and I wasn’t yet sure if that was a good thing, or a bad thing.

Yup. Just your less-than-normal day in the life of Percy Jackson. That really ADHD part of my brain couldn’t help but wonder what Thalia would say if she saw Sadie, and I had to suppress a smile. They’d probably have a dam good laugh, I thought. I held on to that thought all the way back to camp.
