Shinobu's POV
The mission was fast but it had too injuries for a low rank mission and the need of the hashira I'm thinking that the new Slayers are getting worse in each year. I would think that some of the lower ranks could do this on their own. It'll turn bad in the long run and we have no time to train them since demons are always lurking. I look at Tomioka with the cold and expressionless face, I went to him to talk abou the new Slayers. "Tomioka-san" he keeps ignoring me, I do this for around 20 time just calling his name. "Fine, Kocho what do you want?" I pretty sure a vein popped out of my head, irritated by his response I said, "Ara~ara. That kind of attitude is why your hated Tomioka-san." He respond immediately "I'm not hat-" I interrupt "hated by anyone, are you sure you looked in the mirror Tomioka-san?" I can tell his really annoyed right. Honestly it's pretty fun teasing the life of this hated water pillar. "I'm serious here Tomioka-san." Finally got his goddamn that long. "Tomioka-san, don't you think that the lower ranks are having a hard time now in just these small missions." He answered pretty honestly "I notice Kocho, I'm pretty dissapointed in today's Slayers. Keep it to ourselves we might lose morale." I'm impressed that he cares about how the lower ranks thinks of us Hashiras, he's right tho if we even think low of them they most likely say 'sorry we're not talented and hard working as you people' or 'easy for you to say, the Hashira's were taught by previous Hashiras.' That will probably be what they will talk about if we make the wrong move. After a few hours tending to the injured. "Our mission is done Kocho let's go back to HQ." I agreed with him probably we only agree on something if it involves a mission or the master.
No one's POV
Shinobu and Giyuu were going back to the estate, suddenly they encountered 2 people with a mask. They were fighting demons and both were outnumbered. It's unusual because demons don't get along with each other, they even try to kill each other for their prey. This was different the demons have suddenly have coordinated attacks. Shinobu heard one of them spoke "It's probably one of the lower moons doing." It sounded like it was a male Slayer and the other spoke as well "Yeh cause I don't remember demons working well with others." it was a girl's voice then both in unison say, "Let's make this quick." Shinobu was about to rush in to help them but was stopped by Giyuu. "Tomioka-san why are you preventing me to help them." He just stood in silence "That's another reason why no one likes you." Shinobu heard a tick and sigh from Giyuu the he explains."Kocho if you look at them they have the levels of pillar so if they defeat all of them we invite them to be one of us." Shinobu thought 'I never expect anything from the cold, expressionless and no one like water pillar. He's right as well if we get these two to be pillars we might boost our chance in winning this war after all these years. The boy had abnormal breathing cause his form and weapons were unknown to the 2 pillars it was like watching a shadow killing the demons in the dark. The girl has scythe in her hands and her breathing was cold as ice as she slice the head of frozen demons. The 2 unknown people wear a mask so they couldn't know their faces or name since they were barely talking and they were fast. The fight against the demons only took a few minutes. The two pillars went down to greet the 2 unknown Slayers. The two asked who they are, "My name is Kocho Shinobu and this person who no one likes is Tomioka Giyuu." The two greeted them "Hello my name is Hanzo." says the boy in a mask "And my name is Shiro don't ask if we have a last name cause we don't." Shinobu asks with concern and they just answered "Our parents left us as a baby in front of a shrine while being chased by demons." The insect pillar knew the feeling of that all too well. The water pillar suddenly spoke up which shocked Shinobu cause that barely or never happens. With the stoic and expressionless voice, "I invite you two to become one of us as a Pillar." The two were shocked because they heard that pillars hold the highest ranking. They questioned the water and the butterfly pillars. Shiro asked, "Kocho-sama are you sure by this decision that you won't regret this?" Shinobu nodded with her smile Hanzo said, "But I'm only 15 and she's 14. I don't know if have the heart to bear the resposibilty." Shinobu then answered "All of us have lost something dear to us that's why we fight for those we lost so death may not be in vain. Ara there's also someone in the pillars who's also 14 years old." The two agreed on it, but they need a place to stay because they have only lived on abandoned homes. "Kocho-sama where do we live though we only stay in abandoned homes." She thought about it and she asks "Well you can either stay with me in the estate or with the no one likes water pillar." The two had a confuse look and asked "Why is he hated his pretty cool to me?" said the boy in the mask. The insect pillar was really surprise by this answer. While Giyuu looked at her with the expressionless face but she knows that it means 'see Kocho I'm not hated' she got irritated. "Yeah I mean he's cool headed and thinks." Shiro agrees with Hanzo. Shinobu has a look 'No way people like this dumbass.' Then the two answered "We'll stay with Tomioka-san." Then the 4 walked back since the two next pillars were still recovering so it took them quiet long to leave to the HQ. They know it's pretty late so they decided to report this tomorrow. So Hanzo and Shiro decided to stay with Giyuu because they wanted to. The two were surprise by this "Tomioka-sama" Giyuu interupts "I'm not your master and drop that just call me Tomioka" the two continued "Ok we were wondering where do you get the money for this." He just answered "Well Pillars get high payment for missions especially high ranked ones. This however was given to me one by one of the people I saved was actually rich." The two were amazed by him, Giyuu felt it and wish he can tell Shinobu that people like him. Shinobu suddenly sneezed that felt like Giyuu's mocking her. The two never took their masks off they only take it off when there sleeping eating and taking a shower. So Giyuu prepared dinner for the three of them. Giyuu sees their faces Hanzo had black hair, and eyes and a X mark scar on his right cheek while the girl had a light blue like color hair with white as a faded color.
Hanzo's POV
The Pillars are those in the highest ranking of the Slayer they posses inhumane strength, speed, agility, dexterity and intelligence. However there were rumors that those who have those kind of skills have powers to kill demons on their own like me and Shiro I posses the breath of the shadow and she posses the breath of the ice. 'We will have our place as pillars tomorrow we must not disaapoint Kocho-san and Tomioka-san' as I thought. Giyuu asked us why we hide our faces. "Hanzo Shiro why do you wear your masks? You two are good looking so why hide them?" I just told him, "Well as I said we were from the temple but there we would learn our fighting style and we are told to wear masks no one told us why though they just said 'It's the way of the Shinobi.' He understand and pat our head. 'No one has done this to us before it feels nice' I thought with a smile.
