What Are You?

Eunhyuk sighed loudly and poked up from his lyrical assignment. For the past hour, he had been trying to write the lyrics to a short rap for a designated piece of music, however, the assignment was blank except for a few scribbles here and there. In better terms, Eunhyuk couldn't simply concentrate.

The blue-haired boy glanced up and stared at other students relaxing on nearby park benches on SM's campus. He saw Changmin and Yunho playing a frisbee. He saw some girls from the SNSD's dorm walking and chatting about their classes. He saw many of the people whom he knew either relaxing or studying.

"Hey Eunhyuk-ah," a deep voice belonging to Siwon greeted him, "How has it been? I never ran into you in the dorms."

Eunhyuk smiled at him, "That's because I've been coming late due to late shifts at the dance school."

"Eunhyuk, I sometimes think that your act of coming to the dorms late in the night is to avoid a certain someone."

"No, Siwon. What makes you think so?"

"Well, the fact that you always manage to come exactly after 11, which is around the time a certain boy goes to bed."

Siwon continued, "Also, I know for real that the teacher's shifts never last until 11 but immediately ends around 10. So, since the dance school is quite close to the dorms, you should be home at 10:15 to 10:30."

Eunhyuk groaned, "I'm not avoiding Donghae!"

"Who said you were?" Siwon retorted cheekily.

Eunhyuk sighed, "Siwon-ah, how would it feel if you ever found your soulmate?"

Siwon hummed thoughtfully, "I seriously don't know. I mean, as a Catholic and a dutiful son, I do hope for a woman to be my soulmate. But at the same time, 8 wouldn't mind if a man was my destiny because I know that I'll learn to love him the same because he's my fate."

Eunhyuk looked at Siwon who was lounging on his twin bed, "Siwon-ah, do you mean that I have to learn to love Donghae?"

"No, Hyukkie, you don't need to force yourself to love someone that you don't want. I'm just saying you need to reach out to Donghae and learn more about him instead of shunning him before you even get to know each other."

"But how?"

"Ahhh...I hate to say this. But you need to apologize first. You do know that Donghae has always been hurt by you, especially when you try to distance yourself from him. That man has feelings for you and he's trying to hold on. Now, reach out to him and let him know you are willing to take a risk before he gives up."

"Siwon-ah, you do know that I like girls with big boobs!"

"Hey, just saying. You can't be choosy of who to love especially when they are meant to be your destiny."

"But look at Kyuhyun and Sungmin-"

"Yes, but can't you see that the fact that Kyuhyun has chosen to not accept Sungmin's love is slowly tearing him apart. It's hurting them both. I'll bet all my money and say that Kyuhyun and Sungmin won't end up together. Sungmin is close to giving up in my eyes."

"Really?!"

"Hmm..He's getting pretty cozy with Kim Sa-Eun, the girl from the Department of Theatre."

"But doesn't she have a soulmate?"

Siwon shook his head, "Nah, she doesn't have a soulmate. Her actual soulmate rejected her openly so she doesn't have the LoveMeter anymore. She's free to love whoever she wants."

"But Sungmin has a soulmate..."

"Who doesn't deserve him. Honestly, Sungmin is better with Sa-Eun. They look so cute with each other. Everyone deserves someone who'll love them."

After saying so, Siwon got up from Eunhyuk's bed, saying, "Oh My! Would you look at the time? I have yet to start on my business paper. So, Eunhyuk-ah, do me a favor and at least talk to Donghae so that you both can get to know each other before acting rashly. And lastly, I think that Donghae might be good for you."

Eunhyuk watched Siwon gently shut the door after uttering his piece of advice. He knew that Siwon was never the type of person who would go poking his nose into other people's business, usually choosing to let Leeteuk hyung,  Heechul hyung and Ryeowook do that. But for the time in the span of their friendship, Siwon had come to him and advised him before the other members of the dorm could do so, which meant that Siwon cared for Donghae. It was possible that Siwon cared for Donghae more than a friend, but almost like a younger brother.

It was quite amazing, really.

Siwon was generally known as the aloof man who carefully maintained relationships in a business-minded manner unless he had known that person for a long time. In Eunhyuk's case, Siwon and he had grown up together, therefore they were closer and honest to one another. But for their other university friends, Siwon was careful when talking to them, especially when it came to physical contact or overstepping personal boundaries. Yet, he had managed to get so attached to Donghae despite knowing him for a short while. If Siwon did this, ten this meant that Donghae was a spectacular person. A truly amazing human being.

Eunhyuk was now curious. He wanted to understand how his soulmate managed to capture Siwon, the aloof businessman, and make him more attached. It was admirable, really.

Turning back his attention to the paper, Eunhyuk couldn't help but to stare at the music notes and wonder:
