Chapter 22: Granidelia The Magnificent [Part 1]

"I'm a member of a Guild which got split in half. I was with the other half, whose majority are Berserker players. I was late to log in today when they came here. I received a distress message from them. They're all trapped now in one of the Terrace Dungeons. Please help me!" nagmamadali at di mapakaling saad ng babae na nagmamakaawa.

"Terrace Dungeons?" gulat na tanong ni Kuya. "They're now open for raids?"

"Actually, it has been open since November after the update. All the terraces have been cleared. Well, except for one. And my friends wanted to clear the last one in order to prove that they are better than our Guild Master and can overthrow him." sagot ni Nirvana na may tono ng pag-aalala.

"I see. I know that's awful to hear. But, we'd still gladly help you. Come with us." alok ni Kuya at tumalon siya muli para sumakay sa Sky Rift niya.

He helped Nirvana up the Sky Rift, as she sat behind my brother. Tumalon din kami ni Koji at Sedna para makasakay sa Sky Rift ko. We then flew away from the landing deck and I followed where my brother was headed. It only took us a minute to reach another mountain. Maybe she's now comfortable and was also looking at the place ahead.

From the middle part of the mountain to the top, there were small terraced towns. Literally towns; but around three times smaller than Qedium itself. But, it was as if the land area of the towns was carved into the mountain's side. Sobrang laki at lapad ng bundok, kaya kasya ang apat na maliliit na syudad na 'yon.

But at the upper part of the terraced towns, there was a place still covered with a very long and wide black-colored wall. Para bang may dam sa gilid ng bundok. Maybe it's the uncleared Terrace Dungeon Nirvana mentioned.

"Where are they trapped? Did they tell you specifically?" my brother asked while our Sky Rifts approached the walled terrace.

I saw Nirvana open her player window and reread her comrade's message to us. "They said that they are trapped in some sort of labyrinth or maze within the dungeon wall. They went into the main entrance and after that, they ended up wandering there for about an hour and thirty minutes."

"So, in short, they got lost." my brother said. "Too bad. Terrace Dungeons are traditional-type dungeons, and have chambers; outer, middle and inner. Normally, you'd reach the boss room of a Terrace Dungeon in 20 minutes, after defeating the entrance guards or dungeon monster mobs within the middle chamber. Do the labyrinth walls reach the ceiling?"

"Uh- yes. My friend mentioned that. How... how did you know, Sir?" gulat na tanong ni Nirvana nang malapit na kami lumapag sa patag na daanan paakyat ng terrace dungeon na natatakpan ng mahaba at matangkad na pader.

The Guild Master shook his head a bit. "It was just a hunch, but I ended up correct. Player Mapping System is automatically disabled upon reaching labyrinths that have walls that reach the ceilings. But if the walls weren't that high, they'd get out or reach the boss room easily without messaging you for help. They would just climb up one wall and find a sway out, or the way in... to the dungeon's boss room."

Lumapag ang mga Sky Rift namin ni Kuya sa patag na daanan na nasa tabi mismo ng matangkad na pader. Mula dito sa pwesto namin, kita ang isa sa mga Terraced Towns sa baba. Para talaga siyang 'yong Hagdan-hagdang Palayan sa Banaue. Ang pinagkaiba lang, mas malaki at mas malawak ang mga ito, dahil maliliit na mga towns ang nakatayo dito. There were people down there, and players; just like usual player-towns and cities. Pero kumpara sa Qedium, mas maliliit ang mga ito dahil nasa gilid ng bundok.
