"Nagathom's Sky Archipelago has appeared above Axis. And he's about to give a public speech."

I was surprised when I heard him say that.  Nagathom has a public speech? What for? Hmm. I don't feel good about this.

"Si Nagathom? May pa-speech?" I asked back to Conrad, while looking at the Lazarte Brothers, who were also listening intently while eating.

"Yes. 'Di gano'n ka-klaro sa'kin kung announcement or some sort of speech 'yon. Maybe an apology I guess?"

"Pero hindi ako makakapasok sa game ngayon dahil nasa work ako. 'Diko dala 'yong UHDS Console ko."

"May dala akong spare console."

Nagitla kaming tatlo ni Arjay at Norymel nang biglang umupo sa bakanteng pwesto sa tapat ko si Daniel at sumabad pa sa usapan namin sa tawag. I gave him a perplexed look at first, but I remembered that he can also access and hear my phone calls since he's monitoring me as well. Nakita ko rin na may flesh-colored earpiece siya na suot, na hindi agad mahahalata. Kung di ko tiningnan ang tenga niya kanina ay di ko pa mapapansin.

"'Si Daniel ba 'yan?" Conrad asked.

"Yep. Ako 'to."

"O 'yon Lucas, gamitin mo na lang 'yong spare ni Daniel." sagot ni Conrad nang marinig na magsalita ang interpol agent sa tapat ko."Then, pumasok ka sa game after 30 minutes. Ang sabi kasi ng mga messengers na bumaba dito kanina galing sa Sky Province ng Doryeshid Empire, magsi-speech para sa buong Leimhyark si Nagathom after several minutes"

My eyebrows got knit. "Can't I just hear his words through this call? Baka naman hindi ko kailangan marinig 'yong kung ano mang sasabihin ni Nagathom."

"'Di kita sana tatawagan kung pwede 'yon. But, it looks like the game masters wanted his speech to be a login event to generate more playerbase. Young-Rae informed me that since the higher ups have always turned a blind eye towards Nagathom, the Events Department just announced a login event with redeemable rewards; that is, kung mag-login ang players bago ang speech. With that, they will be shutting down the outside network for live streaming and broadcasting. And this includes calls, from here to the outside world."

"Halatang planado ah."

Daniel took the words right out of my mouth. 

"Kaya na nga." sang-ayon ni Conrad. "Mukhang aware kasi si Nagathom na cash-cow siya ng mga higher ups kahit wala naman talaga silang interes sa kanya. They know that Nagathom is somehow part of the end-game content players are so hungry to see. Pare-pareho lang silang nakikinabang sa isa't isa. Nagathom moves, they move. Nag-aamuyan na lang sila ng mga susunod na gagawin ng isa't isa."

That would really make sense. The higher ups in ConquerTech have the power and authority level to create events that can possibly be synchronized with Nagathom's actions. Mukhang napansin ng Emperor ang ginagawang adjustments nila dahil sa existence niya, kaya gano'n na lang ito mag-act in character.

Nagathom gets his plans done, and ConquerTech's higher ups get revenue. It's a win-win situation for both of them. So maybe Nagathom's speech is really that important, which made them act hastily and created a login event. I really do wonder if they are just using each other for their benefits, or there's a bigger picture I'm not seeing.

"The fact that his speech won't be broadcasted outside the game is enough to make it look fishy. Kaya kailangan natin din malaman ang sasabihin niya, since si Nagathom ang pinag-uusapan natin." Conrad added.
