Chapter 2: hell-i mean school

Y/n pulled the straps on her/his shoulders and did their hair before tying his/her shoes then ran down the steps "I'm ready!"

Her/his father looked over and smiled "you look adorable! Come on and eat" y/n smiled and climbed on his/her chair as their mother put pancakes on the plate "eat slow dear"

A knock came on the door and y/n grinned "that's kazuki! I'll see you guys after school!" He/she ran over to the two and kissed their cheeks goodbye before running outside

"Ready?" Kazuki smiled and y/n nodded walking over to him "alright let's go get shoya"

Kazuki and y/n walked until they stopped infront of shoyas house and knocked.

"Shoya your friends are here!" They could hear Ms.Ashida yell out along with following footsteps "okay bye mom!" Shoya opened the door and shut it walking over to the two kids infront of his house/shop "alright let's get keisuke before he loses it" Shoya chuckled and started walking

Ueno and Miki were first inside which meant they got the good seats "took you losers long enough" Ueno chuckled
Miki smiled and waved "hey guys!" Y/n rolled his/her eyes and waved back "sup sissies"
They walked through the space and sat two seats behind miki "lord im not ready for this"
kazuki sat next to you and chuckled "just wait till next summer. Me, you at the carnival" he grinned and y/n blushed slightly but smiled "you're so on"

Y/n sat in her/his seat boredly Next to kazuki and keisuke. With nothing to do but listen while the teacher talked nonsense.

Kazuki throw a paper plane at y/n hitting their arm that rested on the table. She perked up and looked over confused "read it" he whispers and they raised an eyebrow before grabbing the thin sheet and opened it up quietly

'Wanna hang out later?' They smiled to themselves and looked over at him before nodding

Seconds later the door slid open and out came a girl with strawberry hair and a notebook in her hands

"Ah right, class this is Nishimiya Shouko,she's your new class mate here and I expect kindness from all of you"

The girl flipped through pages of her notebook and showed the class
'Please speak through me here!"
She flipped the next and the class silenced

'I'm deaf..!'

Y/n tilted their head and slightly smiled

Shouko sat infront of miki but had the girls crowding her

"So what's your nickname!" Miki smiled and asked
'Sho' she wrote down and Ueno grinned "hey shoya! Guess there's two sho's now!" She laughed and shoya looked over "huh? Well I'm the better one obviously! At least I can hear right!"
y/n rolled their eyes and walked over to Shouko writing down on her notebook
'I'm l/n y/n, friends?'

Y/n looked at shouko and saw her eyes slightly shine as she nodded happily which slowly put a smile on his/her face.
Ueno scoffed "jeez she's a goody two shoes isn't she?"
Y/n glared and crossed her arms "leave her alone Ueno"
"Aww defending your new friend? Look nerd I'm just stating facts"

"Here's a fact! Give me 5 seconds to punch your stomach and knee your face" y/n growled and Ueno walked away glaring.
So much for being friends.

Y/n patted shoukos head and smiled before walking back to the trio hanging out in the back

Kazuki played notes on the piano as the class started their singing in choir class well..until shouko sang singing out whatever.
