Secrets - TMC One-shots

Sorry for updating after so long. I had lost inspiration for this chapter for a while. Hope you like this update. 

Note: This will be set in Graevale after Alex found Soraya.

~Third Person's P.O.V ~

The students were grumbling as they hiked higher and higher up the snowy mountain with. Today, Karter being Karter, decided to be nice and give the Epsilon Combat Class a little workout. And what was this workout? It was climbing Mount Paedris all the way to the top. 

"Are we there yet?", asked the brown haired boy, red in the face while wiping sweat off his brow. 

"No Nick, we aren't there yet", said an exasperated Sebastian. 

"Some workout this is... More like torture", muttered Alex. The boys snickered. 

"Come on Queenie, we're almost at the top". 

Alex still couldn't believe Karter would make them trek up Mount Paedris without any safety gear or map. They already went in circles a few times before finding the right path up to the mountain again. But Alex still pondered what they had to do once they reached the top of the mountain since Karter didn't give any instructions once they reached the peak. 

After another grueling 30 mins of trekking the mountain, the 5 of them collapsed on the cool snow not caring for its cold nature. 

"Hey, look at what I found", Declan walked back to the rest of the group holding a piece of paper. They all looked at what it said and groaned. 

Hand-hand combat for the next 1 hour and then return for dinner!!!

"Well, the instructions are quite clear but there are odd numbers for a spar", stated Brendan as he looked at them all. 

Well, I could always spar with Niyx but then again..... Alex mentally trailed off. 

"You know Kitten, you could've just asked!", said a familiar voice. A raven haired Meyarin appeared out of nowhere on the valispath. Alex jumped. 

"Niyx, give me a warning next time", Alex then realized something  "And what are you doing here anyway? What if he finds out you're gone? Why didn't you tell me if you were coming? Does he even know you left?", Alex fired question after question the Meyarin who wore an amused looked. While on the other hand, her classmates (except Kaiden) were shooting her confused looks. Thinking, who was this person and how did he just appear out of nowhere. 

"Relax Kitten", replied Niyx, throwing an arm over her shoulder and facing the boys. "And no, he doesn't know about me being gone. So, I hear you need a sparring partner, no", he asked. 

"Yes since we're at an odd number here", Alex confirmed. 

"Why didn't you just call Soraya? She could just go on offense while you learn to actually dodge albeit gracefully like my kind", he asked, his voice laced with humor. 

Alex rolled her eyes. "I don't think you realized that she's a wolf Niyx and I'll take that last comment as a compliment!". Niyx grinned and faced Kaiden who smiled. 

"Well hello Kaiden, I do hope you took my advice?". Kaiden just chuckled and nodded. 

"How do y-", Alex got cut off by Niyx. 

"Not the time Kitten. Now let's get to that spar you promised". 

"I didn't promise anything!". 

"Ummm, Queenie, care to fill us in", said one of the combat boys. They were totally confused as to what was going. One minute they were reading over the instructions when a male appeared out of nowhere and started a conversation with Alex and Kaiden like they were old friends. 

"Oh sorry. Guys meet Niyx", she said gesturing to the Said person. "Niyx, meet Declan, Brendan, Nick and Sebastian", she pointed out whoever is who. "Niyx here is my trainer in combat and my protector who could say in a sort". The boys nodded, albeit hesitantly not knowing if they should trust him or not. Alex seeing this reassured them with a small smile but it was soon wiped of her face. 

"Queenie", Niyx rose an eyebrow at Alex. "Who is he, the person you and Niyx were talking about?" asked Sebastian. Alex, Kaiden and Niyx tensed and the atmosphere became suffocating to stand in. Sensing the rising tension, Brendan saved the day.

"So you're here to spar with Queenie because she doesn't have a partner or did right?", he asked Niyx who brought back a grin on his face. 

"Uh huh, so let's get sparring boys, chop chop and Kitten call Soraya", the boys started moving, following Niyx's orders while Alex brought two fingers to her mouth and whistled getting curious glances from the boys. There was a swirl of shadows and light before a massive black wolf appeared in front of Alex who yelped at her size while Sebastian screamed like a girl and the boys shouted in fear and surprise. 

"See I told you she was too big for a sparring session Niyx", but she didn't see Niyx standing and instead saw him rolling on the floor laughing. "Niyx, NIYX!! This isn't time to laugh on the floor you know", she scolded. Niyx got up, still shaking with laughter. 

"You should've seen your faces", he said still chuckling. "Ok, show's over, or is it?". Alex rolled her eyes and summoned A'enara. She felt the similar sensation of the ice cold material against her palm and the warm feeling of starfire seeping up her arm. "I see you're using A'enara. That means I've got a go full out too", he unsheathed his sword and took a readying stance, Alex responding by getting into her own stance. 

The boys except Kaiden were all surprised to see Alex's flaming sword that appeared out of nowhere. At that moment, they didn't the clumsy and weird girl they usually saw in class. Instead they a strong and confident women. A fighter!

And they wanted to see what she was made of. 

Because their Queenie's growing up!!!!
