Truth reveals eventually.

Carper's story

"Carper?!?!" I gasp. He looks at me guilt filling his eyes. I wonder why. He helps me up and turns towards Derek, "I though you said you wouldn't hurt him!" He screams and Derek gives him a look, "He came to know about me." He admits and Carper gives him a deathly glare.

"I can't rely on you anymore." He says quietly and sighs, "What's going on. Please explain!" I beg, finally. Carper gives me a friendly smile and leads me to a small room. "You stay here for a while OK? I'll deal with Derek." He says, before I van protest against his decision

I sit over there impatiently, after about ten minutes I here voices, "You killed Alicia? Are you in you right mind!?" Carper asks angrily. I hear a muffled, it wasn't intentional. Then I hear footsteps apriaching me. Just when they are out side my room the turn to another side.

Fifteen minutes later a sweaty Carper comes rushing in. He locks the door behind and rushes over to me, "Gary, only if you'd let me explain." Before I can say anything in response he starts speaking,

"OK look. I'm going to tell you everything you don't have to be angry at me or anything. So it all started from the day Alicia came to see me. I did not recognize her an do she took it as an insult. In case you don't know who Alicia is, she was with us in the orphanage, under the name, Janet.

Anyway, she ran away crying. The same night I saw her by this barn. I was just fooling around on the hills. Anyways, by that time I had came to know who she really was. So I saw her and she looked panicked, first I thought it was only my imagination, but all of a sudden she was being dragged.

I followed her and her attacker over here, that's right this hut. The guy made her sit on the bench and bought water for her. He was very kind to her, however he never noticed me spying on him. Finally after a few years they both were married. I knew that the man was Derek.

In all the years of spying I figured out Derek's weaknesses. And trust me he was full of them. I decided to black mail him and control him, because for what I knew he was also a thief. The night when I came here to take control I learned that Alicia and Derek had a baby boy, Max.

I decided that it was a day of happiness for him, so I let him go. One day I was walking by and noticed Tania walking by, that's right our mother. Any way she was dragged as well. I followed them inside this hut once agian. However, he treated Tania differently.

He kidnapped her, and kept her. Alicia knew everything but there was very little she could do. Now for the interesting part. He let Tania go the same day, just so she could give me to Derek. He had seen me spying on him once, but little did he know.

Anyways, Tania told him that it would take a lot of time to get me. Derek agreed as he saw that he had know other choice. Years after that Tania was forced to turn me in. The night before the day she had the entire plan I showed up in front of Derek's hut by myself.

He was surprised but kept me. He did not hit me or harm me. But he did black mail me, just like I said I knew his weaknesses, I took my opportunity amand took control over him. In those days Tania suicided, she thought it was her fault that I was kidnapped, but she never knew I turmed up in front of him, and she never knew that I am responsible for a lot of burglaries."

He finishes and I don't cry, like usual and like usual I don't show any emotion. I guess I don't know how to react. But a lot of my questions need to be answered.

"But a lot doesn't makes sense, why would Tania make her brother sign a paper, why would she lie to me about her job?" I ask curiously,

"It was all to misguide you brother. She was so confused that she suicided, she thought that she was insane and that was why she miss lead you, she mix lead me. Now if you want to have a bright future with me, your only family that you can trust, then, please, join my group of thieves." He finishes leaving me wide eyed.
