"Come on," Taehyung whispers letting me go then grabbing my hand. "Let's go somewhere quiet."
He leads me to a big, green field several yards away from the festival. The lights can still be seen but not as much, and the music, although pretty far, can still be heard. The only people around us are the ones who come for jogging or strolls in the park. We stop in the middle of the field as a slow song is heard in the distance.
I'm pulled close to his body. One of his hands wraps around my waist while he clasps our hands together with the other one. I chuckle at his actions as he slowly starts swaying us to the beat of the song. "What are you doing?"
"Dancing with you," he says lowly. "The moon is out and glowing. It's a beautiful night for dancing, and I really like this song." Taehyung slowly spins me around and brings me back to him.
His eyes softly stare into mine as he sings along to the song softly. "My love, where have you been during all the time that I have been looking for you?"
I roll my eyes jokingly and then answer, "Sorry, I've been busy... Although to be honest, now I don't understand with what."
"See, you know the song too," he says with a light chuckle. We come even closer and my arms wrap around his neck and I rest my head on his shoulder as he brings his other hand to wrap around my waist and engulfs me with the warmth of his body.
Two strangers dancing under the moon
and step by step they become lovers to the beat
of that strange melody,
which some would call destiny,
and others prefer to call coincidence"Taehyung," I call out to him softly. He hums in response, encouraging me to continue. "We're only doing this for tonight," I remind him, ignoring the tug in my heart as I say so.
"We don't have to," he replies and gives me kiss on my shoulder. "This doesn't have to end tonight."
I sigh heavily and start pulling away from him. "That wasn't part of our deal. You are looking for this great love, and I don't think I can give that to you. You deserve to be with someone that wants all the things that you want, and when you see that it's not me you'll be disappointed. I don't want to disappoint you," I say shaking my head.
Taehyung brings his hands to cup my cheeks and stop my head movements to look at him. "Hey, look at me. You won't disappoint me. I know we only met three hours ago but there's something about you that I haven't experienced with anyone else. You can feel it too, I know you do."
I pout still trying to reason with him. "Like you said, we only met three hours ago. Feelings change overtime. What if I wake up one day and realize you're not who I want, and I leave you?"
Taehyung looks at me with concern. "I don't believe your fear is you leaving me. I think maybe you fear getting attached, and then me leave you."
I laugh humorlessly. "My own family didn't even want me. What's stopping you from walking out like they did?"
His face hardens at my comment and I can see I struck a nerve within him. "Don't downgrade me to someone who would be so heartless as to just abandon you. Stop sabotaging yourself. Stop thinking that you don't deserve love when that's what life owes you. Let someone love you like how you deserve to be loved." My heart pinches with every word that flows out of his mouth. "Let me show you how much you are worth loving."
Tarhyung's eyes look at me with determination as he leans close to me. Our lips touch slightly and I sigh in hesitation, but he stands his ground. "Stop overthinking it," he whispers. "I promise that if you have doubts after this I'll let you walk away, and I won't bother you ever again. Just let us have tonight. Please."
I give in to his advice for the first time in the night and close the remaining gap that lingered between our lips. Taehyung keeps swaying us to the soft music in the background that continues as our lips dance to a beat of their own. Kissing him makes my mind feel hazy, but at the same time my mind's never been clearer than this moment. Kissing him is a paradox. It makes me crazy but sane at the same time, and it leaves me with only one thought. I want more of him.
And they dance
Without caring about anything that happens around them.
And they dance
And the people watching them, start believing in love.------------------------------------------------
I feel like I made this chapter really cheesy. I hope you all don't mind🥺 I did say this story was more of a fluff hehe. Now that I finished Don't Let Me Fall, this one's next...😊
I did use a real song for this chapter. The song actually inspired the whole story. The song is actually the title lol. It's in Spanish so it makes more sense in that language, but I really loved the words so I did my best translating the lyrics. Thank you all for your support💜
