Wrong Number, Kid

Nobody made a sound. 

"Hi Mr. Loki!" Peter said, breaking the silence.

Loki glanced in the boy's direction. "This is the new intern?"

Tony ignored Loki's question. "Why are you here?" He asked Loki.

"My brother said he was visiting some mortals in Midgard and I decided to go with him," Loki explained. 

The silence came back. 

"Um," Peter said, unsure of what to say, "I have heard a lot about you Mr. Loki!"

"Of course you have!" Loki said. "Midgard is an amazing place to bring aliens."

"Thor? Why is Loki here?" Bruce asked Thor, waving his hands in Loki's direction.

"Didn't he tell you?" Thor said, confused. 

"But he's Loki-"

"Loki is trustworthy!" Thor said loudly. "Except when he stabs you in the back or brings aliens to Earth!"

Peter felt like he could trust Loki. He had this feeling. "Mr. Loki?"

 "Yes, mortal boy?" Loki answered.

"Can we be best friends?" Peter blurted out without thinking. His peter tingle(that's what May called it) wasn't tingling, so Peter guessed Loki wasn't trying to cause trouble.

Everyone looked at Peter. "Wha-" Tony started to say.

Loki cut him off. "Yes!" Then he cleared his throat, "I mean, of course mortal." He started to tear up, "Nobody has ever asked me that before."

Peter gave Loki a hug and Loki hugged him back.

"Um..." Tony said, "What is happening right now?"

Nat kicked Tony, "They're having a bonding moment, duh."

"I mean," Tony started, "Didn't Loki almost destroy-"

Nat shot Tony a glare that made him shut up.

When Peter and Loki stopped hugging, Peter said, "I want to show you my star wars figures!"

He sorta reminded Loki of an excited puppy.
