Anna's POV
Why did I have to have this complicated bitter life. I had a dad that I don't even know his name or even if he is alive, a mother that was never truly a mother that has died, and I was almost raped and killed. This is horrible to say but the one thing that pains me the most is to not be able to be with the tanned muscular boy that makes my blood run hot and my skin tingle when our flesh touches.
It was midnight on a Friday night. Parker and I had fallen asleep and when I woke we had almost kissed even though I wanted much more I had to tell him no. We could not date it would complicate living together.
"so this is your room" Parker held out his hand in front of a wooden door.
I set my hand on the handle and looked at Parker. I was hesitant to see what my new room would look like. Parker gave me a smile and a nod indicating to proceed to enter my room. It has been a little awkward ever since we had woken up but the tension between us has lessened more and more.
I took a deep breath and opened my door. It was absolutely amazing.
Compared to the dark cherry wood floor of the rest of the home mine was white and aged. The walls were a light blue almost the color of Parker's but nothing could compare. Ugh! Stop thinking about him! The bed was the same blue with delicate white stitchings of a cherry blossom tree. The many pillows (again I don't know why I would need so many) were all different exept from 4 that were the same and in the back but somehow the rest of the pillows seemed to match together.
The four poster bed was antiqued looking and white as well. With a white canopy overlaying. I felt the soft flowing fabric and wanted my whole body be wrapped around in it. It was if someone had captured wind in fabric form by the way it moved by the small breeze.
There was an octagon corner with a bench and loads of books surrounding it and on the wall was a white desk and matching chair with delicate light blue designs. I went around touching everything and soaking everything up.
"this is so amazing"I turned to Parker who was staring at me the whole time. I gave him probably the biggest grin I had ever given someone. There was also a flat screen tv and my favorite was the fireplace below my television.
"haha well I'm glad you like it. My mom was so worried over it the past few days she had designed the whole thing and had tons of people workin on it night and day to get it ready for you before you came" he said smiling and walking towards me.
"what?! She did all of this for me?!" I was shocked and immediately wished I had never accepted to live here. It must have cost a fortune. And I wasn't worth it. I just stood there shaking my head.
"what?" he looked concerned. "I thought you said you liked it?" now he just looked confused.
"are you kidding? I absolutely love it"
"well what's the problem then?"
"you went through too much trouble. I'm not worth all of this" I stared at my socks not wanting to look at the gorgeous room any more.
"honestly my mom loves you here already. Frankly she's tired of her being the only girl" he said in a smile which made me feel a little bit better.
"hey look at me" he put his hand under my chin and lifted it to look at his face."you are worth all of this and you are NOT a burden. So stop thinking that you are" he said in all seriousness then his lips went into a smirk "and plus you haven't even seen apparently the best part yet"
"the best part?" I was washed with worry as Parker lead me to two French doors and opened them both revealing a huge bathroom. To the left were two sinks that were stacked with all of the top of the line perfumes with extravagant bottles containing them.
On the right was the biggest shower that I had scene with Mediterranean tile with specks of blue and gold. Next to that was one of those old styled deep bathtubs that could fit three people into them. Right behind the tub was another set of French doors that led to a balcony overlooking the backyard.
"nice huh?" Parker was practically laughing at me and my expression.
"just nice?! Are you kidding me?!" I got into the bathtub and just sat in the perfectly curved bathtub that I could have slept in!
"what are you doing?" Parker was holding his stomach through his fits of laughter.
"I have never been in anything so nice before!" I said looking at him hunched over in a fit of laughter.
I just scowled "whatever. Just because everything wasn't handed to me by a silver spoon" I was suddenly peeved at him.
"hey I'm sorry it's just that I don't know you just look like a little kid on Christmas" he still had a slight smile on his lips. I couldn't stay mad at him.
All if a sudden Parker's phone starts ringing. Who could be calling at like 1 in the morning?
"what do you want chris?" Parker rolled his eyes and seemed really annoyed. "no. Are you seriously here?"(pause)"No chris you can't stay again" (pause) "chris I honestly don't even like you!" parker hung up the phone. "damnit! Listen I'll be right back. Actually you should probably just go to bed" he went to leave in a hurry.
"wait! Where are you going?" Parker just left without even a look my way. Who the he'll could be this Chris guy? Well I'm definitely not listening to Parker. I'm going to find out for myself.
