"WHAT???" Luna screamed as she threw her blanket off. The girls around her were in similar disarray. Rosemary and Emma had acted the most normal, quickly grabbing anything they needed. Sylvia sat petrified. Even Nova seemed to have gone pale.
"Don't sit there like babies, come on!" a voice yelled from out the door. Rosemary and Emma threw shoes at everyone and ran out the door. Everyone quickly followed. They stormed down the stairs and into the main room like a mob. Nash threw open the door just in time to hear a booming voice.
Well, what they really heard was a rather odd, high-pitched girl speaking.
"Welcome to this year's Grand Magic Games!" The girl said. "And it's time to start the preliminary round! All teams are instructed to go out and battle! That's right! Be one of the last eight teams standing to make it to the next round!"
Everyone rushed to the door as the adults began trying to share bits of advice.
"Okay thanks Mom and Dad. I gotta go now bye!" Luna said as she slipped out of Natsu and Lucy's grasp. Outside the moon was full. The stars were shining.
And the streets were chaos.
