Michelle woke up the next morning and found herself on the bed in their bedroom. The last she remembered was being in the living room with Nathan. The thought of last night brought butterflies to her stomach. She wondered how she got here. Noticing that she was now in a night dress made her realize that Nathan was behind it.
She smiled at the thought of last night, as she stared at her finger. She was now engaged to Nathan.
Michelle was still staring at the ring on her finger when the door to their bedroom opened, it was Nathan with a tray of food in hand. He was shirtless as always, only wearing black sweatpants. He smiled at her, seeing she was now awake.
"Good morning, beautiful," he said, placing the tray in front of her.
" If I remember correctly, my birthday was yesterday... So, what's the occasion?" She asked gesturing at the tray.
"I figured you'd be too tired to come down for breakfast, so.. I decided to bring it up myself."
"Aren't you a darling? Come here" she said, gesturing him to come closer. She placed a kiss on his lips.
"Thanks," she said after the kiss before digging into her breakfast.
Nathan brought french toast, bacon,n, and eggs with a glass of orange juice for Michelle.

She didn't want to eat alone, so she made him eat with her. After breakfast, they showered together and left for work.
Michelle broke the good news to her mom. Leah was happy for her daughter, she only hoped she was making the right decision.
Nathan and Michelle began to make plans for their wedding. They hired a wedding planner who would take care of the venue and decorations.
Michelle was almost on her way to a boutique with her mom to try out some wedding gowns when she felt dizzy. Her mom was worried about her condition but Michelle insisted that she was fine and was feeling this way because of the stress, that she only needed to sit down a little. She sat back on the couch to regain herself.
After some minutes, she felt better and decided to stand up but she fainted as soon as she stood up.
Michelle woke up in a hospital confused as to why she was there. She saw her mom sitting on a chair beside her.
"Why am I here?" She asked.
"Oh honey, you passed out so I brought you to the hospital,"
"Mom, I told you not to worry. I was just stressed out," she said. She didn't want her mom to go through a lot of stress and worry because of her.
"I know, honey. I was just worried. The doctor ran some tests, the result will be out later, but you can come pick it up when you're okay because the doctor insisted that you should take some rest for a few days." Her mom informed, making Michelle sigh.
"Okay, mom. I will."
Nathan came over to the hospital to pick Michelle up since she was discharged later that day. He was worried about her health and had asked her to stay in bed. She didn't want to at first but since he insisted, she had no choice but to listen to him.
Michelle went to the hospital the next day to get the result. She was congratulated by the doctor who informed her that she was two months pregnant. She was shocked by the news as she couldn't believe it.
She left the hospital and went straight home as her mind kept raking with different thoughts. She didn't know what to feel if she was happy or sad about the baby news. She didn't even know if she was ready to be a mom. Everything was going so fast.
Should she break the news to Nathan?
Would he be happy to be a father? But he was worried about the outcome of the result.
He had wanted to go get the result himself but she refused, telling him that she needed to get some fresh air, so he shouldn't worry and allow her to go instead.
Michelle was really confused. Was all this what she wanted?
Nathan returned home from work earlier than expected so he could be with Michelle. When he arrived, he saw her sitting in the living room. She didn't even hear him walk in. It was like she was deep in thought.
Nathan walked towards her and sat on the couch beside her, gently placing his hand on her thigh.
"Michelle?" He quietly called.
"Mmm?" She replied, jerking back to reality.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you come in," she apologized.
"It's okay, you don't have to apologize. Are you okay?" He asked, concerned about her present state.
"Yeah. Um, I went to the hospital today," she nervously replied.
"What do the results say?" He asked, hoping she didn't have any terminal illness.
Michelle nervously tucked her hair behind her ear before speaking.
"Nathan, I'm... I'm pregnant." she thought he didn't hear her the first time so she spoke again.
"Nathan, I'm pregnant," she repeated worried about his reaction because she had no idea if he wanted a family yet.
"I heard you the first time." he quietly replied, trying to take in the information of him becoming a father.
Michelle couldn't help but be nervous as she didn't know what was going through Nathan's mind until she saw a smile appear on his face.
"So, I'm finally going to be a father?" He asked with a huge smile. Michelle nodded in reply.
Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted from the couch. Nathan carried her bridal style and swirled her around in excitement before putting her down.
"Thank you so much, Michelle," he said placing a kiss on her forehead.
Michelle internally let out a sigh of relief, glad that Nathan was thrilled with the baby news.
They both decided to push back the wedding until the baby was born.

During the months of Michelle's pregnancy, Nathan treated her like a queen. He didn't let her go to work because he didn't want her stressing herself and the baby. She only went to work when she persuaded him that she needed to go outside, that it was good for her and the baby.
Mr Howard was excited to be a granddad and so was Rebecca, although she wasn't still happy with the fact that the baby's mother is Michelle.
When they went for the gender reveal, they were told that they were expecting a baby girl and that she was growing fine.
During the period given for Michelle's due date, Nathan drove her to the hospital so she wouldn't have to go through the stress of hurrying to the hospital on the day of delivery.
On the day of delivery, Michelle was taken to the delivery room. The pain was unbearable, making her regret getting pregnant.
After hours of excruciating pain, she took back her words as her beautiful baby girl was placed in her arms. The baby looked so small and fragile making Michelle break down in tears. She was happy to be a mother.
The baby girl looked more like Nathan but had Michelle's grey eyes. Michelle couldn't explain the joy she felt experiencing what it's like to be a mother for the first time. Nathan was also excited as he was now a father.
