Swindle's POV

"Swindle"

I drop my tools as I hear Demina's voice call me out. I stand and turn as I take a step and appear in a backyard. I take a quick survey of the area and see Demina unconscious in a vampire's arms. I glare at him and he tightens his hold on Demina.

I say,"Hand her over, vampire."

He quickly disappears and I follow him through the shadows. I curse in my mind the fact I didn't have the shadows hold him. We end up outside of a Victorian style manor and I step out of the shadows. I walk forward but am instantly blocked. I slam my fist against the invisible barrier and curse the vampire into the next millennium.

I melt back into the shadows and attempt to cross the barrier and get through. I can't be seen or heard when I'm in the shadows because I am not solid. I walk into the manor walls and see Demina in a circle. Suddenly, the vampire comes out with a woman. There's something not right about her. She begins chanting and I recognize the spell as a healing spell. Hmmm...what is going on? Demina awakens and sits up gasping Agmos' name.

The woman hands her a bright blue liquid and Demina takes it. She looks reenergized after and I notice as she brushes Demina's hair from her face she takes a piece of hair from her. She tells her she's gonna use it to make a special potion to help her with her emotional pain. I don't like this. She hands Demina a bottle of dark purple liquid after a few minutes and Demina and Atticus leave. I step out into my shop and stomp through the house yelling Agmos' name.

No answer.

Typical.

I let the shadows carry my call as I yell,"AGMOSTHERIAN!"

Agmos appears and glares at me.

Before he can utter a word I say,"Demina."

He freezes and I exclaim,"WHY WERENT YOU WITH DEMINA!?"

He is silent and I say,"SHE WAS WITH WEREWOLVES AND A VAMPIRE!"

He seems shocked and I ask,"HAVE YOU LOST YOHR MIND, AGMOS!?"

He looks down and I say,"She got hurt. But the vampire took her to a witch. I don't trust that witch at all."

Agmos asks,"Where is she?"

I reply,"I don't know. I was blocked by some barricade in my earthly form."

Agmos disappears and I sigh.

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I say to myself,"That boy better pull his head out of his ass and soon."

I walk into my workshop and resume the project I was working on earlier.

Demina's POV

After the witch gave me the potion, Atticus and I headed back to my place. I take a small sip of the potion and something doesn't feel right. I throw the rest off it down the drain and sit down on my bed. Atticus leaves and I'm alone.

A voice I haven't heard for almost a day says,"Demina."

I look to see Agmos there in my doorway. He looks concerned and....regretful. I fell for the Demon of Lust. Morganna told me months ago to be careful. That he would break my heart. I didn't think she would be right. And yet the relief I feel seeing him fills me

I say,"Agmos."

He says,"I'm so sorry."

My heart drops and I ask,"What for?"

He replies,"I left you all alone."

I stand and walk outside as I say,"I knew it."

Agmos looks confused but follows me. It's nighttime and it begins to rain.

I say,"Morganna warned me about you. But I didn't listen."

Agmos crosses his arms in a defensive stance and I say,"I should have known with how you are."

Where are these words coming from. All I want is to be in his arms.

I say,"Achille, Bittie, and Swindle were there for me! You were nowhere!"

At the mention of their names they appear in my driveway.

I say,"THEY TOOK CARE OF ME! WHERE WERE YOU?!"

They stay silent and Agmos looks shocked. I can't control what comes out of my mouth. Something is very wrong.

I exclaim,"YOU WENT HOME WITH THAT BLONDE SKANK AFTER ATTICUS FED FROM HER! You slept with her."

Agmos shakes his head and I say,"I tried to reach out to you last night but you let her keep getting in your way."

I turn away and Agmos yells,"DON'T YOU DARE TURN YOUR BACK ON ME!"

I turn and slam my hands on his chest causing him to take a step back.

I exclaim,"I SHOULD HAVE TURNED MY BACK ON YOU MONTHS AGO!!"

Everyone is silent and my heart breaks as I see Agmos hurt. I can't stop this.

My voice cracks as I say,"I don't want to be the one to say it."

Tears fall from my eyes as I mentally scream at Agmos to not believe a word I'm saying.

Agmos stays silent and I say,"We can't live a lie, Agmos. We both need to face it. We need to let go."

Agmos disappears with a puff of smoke and suddenly I'm free. I drop to my knees and the sobs wrack my body. What just happened? Achille and Bittie come to me as Swindle disappears.

I cry,"It wasn't me. I swear it wasn't me. Something was controlling me. I love him."

Agmos' POV

I leave Demina's place as my anger rises. I get to the house and throw the Dino g room table against a wall. I begin kicking in the walls of the house a so yell in anger.

Swindle appears and I fling him off of me as I rage through the house. How could she do this to me? To us? After everything we've been through? How could she just end it?

I turn and deck Swindle and he and I begin fighting. I land a few punches but otherwise they get blocked. Swindle gets me in a headlock and I struggle to get out of it.

He says,"Calm down, Agmos. Calm down. It's ok."

I struggle more and he says,"It's ok to feel hurt."

I freeze and he says,"It's ok to feel pain."

I go limp and he keeps his hold around me. What just happened? Why did she give up on us? We just got each other back? What do I do? I love her. I need her.
