[Finale]
*One Month Later*
“Open your present, please!” Louis yelled. I groaned as Louis walked back into the room after I sent him out to get hot chocolate. We were supposed to be waiting for the rest of the boys to get here before we opened presents. It was Christmas. I shook my head at him as I finished wrapping my present to Liam. It was quite expensive buying presents for five boys. Not to mention I had no idea what to get any of them. I just hoped they liked it. Louis sat on the floor next to me, balancing his mug on his knee and handing me the other. I took a sip, wincing as the burning liquid burned my lip and tongue, but it tasted good. I sat it on the floor beside me so it could cool off a little. I eyed the present under the tree that Louis had brought. It was quite big, I wondered what he could’ve gotten me for the hundredth time. He saw my look and smiled, “You would know if you would just open it.” I turned a glare at him, “Louis, we have to wait for everybody to get here.” I pushed Liam’s wrapped present away from me and pulled the last one I had to wrap towards me and began to wrap it, this one was Harry’s. Everything turned out alright between us. We really were better friends. As for me and Louis, we still aren’t together, he hadn’t even made a move towards me, I guess he changed his mind. I pushed the thought away, because it hurt in many different ways, I realized in this month of getting to know each other and hanging out more than twice a week, that I really wanted to be with him and be able to call him mine. When a knock came from the door, I instantly moved the present so that It was hidden behind my body. Louis bounded up and shouted, “I’ll get it!” He started walking towards the door, I stopped him before he could get to it. “If it’s Harry don’t let him in. I’m not done wrapping his present.” Louis dramatically peeked through a crack he made in the door, then swung it wide open, “It’s not.” I let out a sigh of relief as Niall walked in and I finished wrapping Harry’s present as fast as I could. I placed them under the tree and stood up stretching my back that had gotten sore from sitting in the floor so long. I reached down and picked up my hot chocolate, taking another scolding drink that I swear I could feel burn all the way down my throat and through my stomach. It was only a few seconds later that the rest of the boys started filing through the door. When we were all seated in the floor in a circle with the presents all under the tree, five for each of us, we were unsure how to proceed. We started by just randomly selecting a present from under the tree and letting that person unwrap it for everybody to see. When Harry reached for the big present that Louis had gotten me and started to hand it to me, Louis stopped him, “She wouldn’t open it early so now it has to wait for last.” Harry gave him a confused look and instead grabbed the one beside it. When we were all done I had a hoodie sporting my favorite team in front of me from Niall, a teddy bear necklace from Liam, an assortment of chocolates from Zayn, and a Def Leopard throw blanket (that I loved) from Harry. I had gotten a hat for Niall, a CD for Zayn that Louis told me he had been wanting, a DVD collection for Liam that Louis had also told me about, a jacket for Harry that I had seen him eyeing, and a watch for Louis. Nobody objected to Louis getting the nicer present, it was to be expected, since we were “talking”, if we still are. The last thing under the tree was my present from Louis. He handed it to me with a huge smile on his face. The other boys scooted in quickly, all curious as to what he got me, expecting it to be something amazing. I tore the wrapping off, letting my excitement spill out of me. It was pretty light weight. My curiosity had been eating away at me. I opened the box to find it full of packing peanuts. I gave Louis a skeptical look, he rolled his eyes and urged me forward, excitement visible in his eyes, too. I started digging through the packing peanuts, and I just kept finding more, it was like they were never ending. My patience started to evaporate and when my fingers touched the bottom, my arms deep in the peanuts I shot him a look and pulled out. “Very funny, Tomlinson. Where’s my real present?” The other boys were giving him a confused look, too. He nodded towards the box. “It’s in there, keep looking.” I gave him another look, “I’m not embarrassing myself by digging through a box full of packing peanuts anymore.” He gave me a hard look telling me to keep looking. I sighed and buried my arms in the box again, going straight to the bottom and feeling around, but all I felt was more cardboard. “Louis! There isn’t anything in here!” Just when I said it my fingers touched something hard. Everybody saw the change in my expression and moved forward to try and look inside, except Louis who sat back with a smug expression. I picked it up in the palm of my hand and pulled it out. It was a small music box, with a small boy and girl tucked together in each others arms on the top dressed in heavy coats with painted snow on them and the ground. Around the sides was music notes, with a banner that said ‘All I Want for Chistmas is You’ I looked over at him and gasped, it was beautiful. He smiled at me and pointed towards the small knob on the side, encouraging me to turn it and listen to the music. I smiled as I twisted the knob a few times and let it go, I already knew what song it would play, but it still put a lump in my throat when the soft twinkling started to chime out the music of “All I Want For Christmas is You.” The part I hadn’t expected was the boy and girl lifting up to reveal the compartment inside, that was not empty. I looked at the silver thing sparkling on the inside and lifted it up. It was a small bracelet with a silver plate, one you might get your name engraved on, but instead all it said was ‘All I Want is You’. I felt tears sting my eyes and I looked up to find Louis right beside me, and he leaned in and whispered in my ear, “What do you say? Will you be mine?” I tried to speak around the lump in my throat, but couldn’t. So instead I nodded and threw my arms around him. He held me like that for some time and when the lump finally faded I whispered back to him, “Of course. I thought you had changed your mind.” He pulled back and looked me in the eyes, “Never. I told you my feelings wouldn’t change. I just wanted you to be ready.” I looked over at the rest of the boys who all had small smiles of approval. Then Louis’ lips came crashing down on mine and I was on fire.

*A Year and a Half Later*
I stood with my back against the wall as I listened to the music and felt the vibrations run through me, head to toe. I could hear the screaming and the clapping. I was so swollen with pride in that moment I had to choke back the tears. I listened to their final speeches and then opened my eyes as I heard them running my way. I looked up as Louis stopped in front of me, blue eyes wide with excitement and adrenaline, and sweat across his forehead and in his hair. I smiled and stood up on the tips of my toes to plant a kiss to his lips. He held me there for a moment longer. When he let me go I looked at the other boys who were chatting excitedly to one another and then to the now empty stage, where I could hear them chanting, “I think they want an encore.” His eyes brightened at that and he kissed me hard on the lips again. I could feel all his excitement in it, when he finally pulled back his voice was breathless, “I can’t believe we did it. There are thousands of people out there, all for us.” He shook his head, disbelieving. “I always knew you would.” I really had. He gripped my hand tightly, excited to get back to the hotel where we could be alone. Leaving the arena thousands of girl fans surrounded us as paparazzi snapped pictures and body guards tried to keep us from being too jostled. I was already getting used to this. There wasn’t a magazine stand that didn’t have the boys faces on it. Blog and social sites were being taken over by them, and their were even multiple gossip sites that had me and Louis plastered to it, supporting our love for each other. It was true though, we were in love. That hadn’t changed when they got so big last year that they started planning a world tour, it didn’t change when big celebrities started taking interest in Louis, which had made me worry he would leave me for one of them eventually, but he never did, because he loves me. I felt the tiny weight around my wrist as a reminder. I never take it off. I lifted my wrist up and read the words again ‘All I Want is You’. Louis noticed what I did and smiled. He leaned down close enough so that I could hear him. “Always and forever.” I blushed and kissed him deeply, letting the fire consume me in front of thousands of screaming girls and paparazzi flashes. The bodyguards eventually broke us apart pushing us towards the taxi. Louis smiled when we got in and kissed me in the privacy of the cab. “I love you.” He whispered in my ear. I smiled and kissed his cheek, “I love you, too.”
The End.
