"What do you mean I've been charged for murder? I wasn't even at home, and I didn't even know that person!" This was what I kept telling myself and the police, but no one believed me. Why didn't they believe me? All of my neighbors told the cops that I wasn't at home, but they just brushed it aside. They seem like they had been paid off, which was more concerning.Who the hell tried to frame me? I was genuinely nice to everyone, so I know I couldn't have any enemies. After what seemed like hours, they had finally placed me in a holding cell, but my mind was still focused on my daughter. She must be so scared..I hope that my parents are taking good care of her.

It only seemed like a few hours ago when I came home to a bloody body on my doorstep. I could still remember the pained look on the person's face, and the screams of the neighbors as they found the body. All those sounds and imagines echoed through my mind the entire night, almost making me go delirious. The only thing that kept me sane was thinking about my daughter. Some people said that I shouldn't have been a single mother, but I didn't have a choice.

My boyfriend had left me when I was only 18, and a few months later I found out I was pregnant. Everything in my life had changed that day, and I had to deal with it the best way that I could. Even if people left me, I stayed strong. I just kept thinking about how all of this could happen. Maybe I being punished for some unknown sin. Maybe this was God's way of making me suffer for getting pregnant.

The next day was honestly such a blur, and I couldn't remember a single thing. Maybe it was because I didn't sleep at all, or maybe because I didn't feel safe enough. Strangely enough, the officers had released me and said that someone came to pick me up. It couldn't have been my parents, they never would've came and got me even if I was about to die. They had it was a detective. Once I had finally gathered my belongings, I was greeted with a smile by the so called detective. "It's very nice to meet you. Kaia is it? I'll be helping you find out who framed you for that crime.."
