FT. NIKI CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AU! FLUFF
sunoo and you have been friends for god knows how long. you befriend niki- a boy from sunoo's dance club and sunoo gets jealous. he confesses before anyone else could >:(

last week, you met a new friend at sunoo's dance club while waiting for him. his name was niki and he came from japan. they were good friends but barely hung out outside of the club since you and sunoo were stuck together.
your usual ice cream dates with sunoo after school has turned to 'usual ice cream dates with sunoo and niki after school.' and of course, it was your idea while sunoo agreed recklessly.
however, these days, a bothered expression has been plastered all over his pretty face. "sunoo, you look ugly when you're sad."
"you suck at making me feel better, seriously."
you whisper a 'sorry' while bowing to him as if he was a superior. "but, really what's wrong?" you asked, concerned.
"but, really what's wrong?" he mocks you.
a sigh comes from your right, it was niki who decided to pay a visit to your classroom.
"i have something coming up today, i can't attend our usual ice cream date, sorry." niki elaborates as he stares at a few text messages on his phone.
"that's fine! we can go by ourselves, right? we'll be going now, bye niki!" sunoo says in a rush while pulling you out of the classroom with him. niki nods in response, waving goodbye.
once you made it to the hallway filled with students, he rushes out of the school and towards a local ice cream store while holding your hand.
"why are you so excited? aren't you disappointed it's going to be boring without niki-" he shoves a cup on your hand and says, "i'll be paying today." with a smile full of pride.
your eyes grow wide as the corner of your lips lift up. then pausing to think; why is he so enthusiastic now that niki's not with us? did they fight? but i was with them all day long?

sunoo was walking you home while eating his ice cream, giggling every time he swallowed. "did you fight?" you ask, out of the blue.
sunoo hums in confusion. "with whom?"
"niki." sunoo almost chokes at the mention of his name. "hey, stop talking about him, you shouldn't do that during a date. you're so inexperienced."
he stares at you before realising what he just said. however, he realised your face hasn't changed much since he's said that. what the? is she that dense?
"during a date." he repeats. "a date." "during a date." he says again, sounding like a broken record.
"date~"
you burst out into a fit of laughter. "are you actually jealous? you know you're my only best friend right?"
"hey, you know... you just... friend-zoned me."
you're still laughing until now, then finally pauses as his words registered in your head. was him emphasizing that this is a date, his way of confessing?
he whines, "seventeenth year of friend-zone."
"you- no way- you like me?"
he shows you a blunt face, then turning around to get ahead of you.
your cheeks warmed up, you wouldn't lie saying you've questioned your feelings towards kim sunoo before.
quickly trying to come up with a distraction, you blurt out the first words that came into your head;
"ice cream!"
he turns around with his eyebrow raised.
"i'll buy you ice cream tomorrow! three scoops!" you put up three fingers.
"is this your way of confessing?"
"you're so quick-witted." you run up to him, catching up then aggressively linking your arms together.

KIMSUNOO so like pretend you have something coming up and then i'll take her on a date
