little did you know heeseung had always been aware of your presence in his sleep. he mimics your trick at the perfect time.

it was late at school and the sky has already turned dull. "i'll be fine! you can go now." you say goodbye to your friend as she leaves to go home while you stay at the library.
tomorrow was an exam day— one you haven't studied for yet— and it just had to be your worst subject. which is why you're left alone in the school library.
the door shuts once again, averting your gaze from your book to see who has decided to join you in your last minute study session.
surprisingly, it was your boyfriend lee heeseung. a student who sits at the top of his grade with pride. he was the last person you could think of when studying last minute.
putting the fact that heeseung is a smartass aside, you feel your face heat up from excitement as he makes his way towards you with a smile.
you were head over heels for heeseung ever since the start of the year, you consider yourself lucky that you were able to pull him with all the other girls after him as well.

"it's only us here, huh?" heeseung takes a seat next to you, as you gather your things and throw them to another chair. hastily, you nod your head.

how many hours must have passed by now? losing track of the time also made you lose your focus. now your notes were full of doodles, which heeseung had been grinning at for so long.
"cute..."
"hm? what was that?" you yawn as heeseung shakes his head at your question, "nothing." he chuckles. it seemed strange to you, but you brushed it off.
you rest your head on top of your palm, eyelids getting heavy. "hey," heeseung calls out as you ignore him from exhaustion. he waves his hand in front of your face, trying to snap you back into reality.
once he confirmed that you were asleep— or half asleep— he opens his mouth to speak once again, "you always tell me i'm cute but look at you."
your arm was getting weaker and your head was getting heavier as you fell asleep. you were basically nodding. giggling, he leans in and leaves a peck on your cheek.
it was something you usually did to him when he fell asleep during the end of classes since you were too shy to flirt back at him when he suddenly shoots out a pick-up line.
however, you were never aware of the fact that heeseung was not fully asleep during those times.
he always laughed at how you ran out of the classroom after kissing his cheek or his forehead. the way you were so flustered at your own actions.
"if only you were awake," he sighs, whispering to himself, "then maybe you could understand how much you are to me."
"i am awake." you mumble into your arm, causing your voice to become muffled. heeseung was flustered and suddenly sat up straight, shutting himself.
you finally collapse onto the table, basically slapping it with your arms. startled, you jump up awake, "huh? how long was i sleeping for?" you look around frantically.
heeseung giggles from your side as you turn to him, who flashing your favourite smile.
