Harry entered an empty compartment in the Hogwarts Express like he had many times before. Professor McGonagall has sent all students a letter informing them that they must return to Hogwarts after they recover and repair any damage taken from the school after the war.

She said the Seventh Years must complete their course and test for their N.E.W.T.S if they aspired for a good career. Said that if not, they would be caring for animals or cleaning people's floors.

Harry was delighted to come back to what he called home for his 7th year. All the weight he carried on his shoulders were long gone. Voldemort is defeated, he was vanquished and peace is finally restored. That is what Harry thought until he saw a speck of red flaming hair, swoosh in front of the window of the compartment's door.

It was non other than his best friend, Ronald Weasley. He was smiling toward someone Harry could not see through the clear glass but he more than knew that it was Hermione. Ron gave her a peck on her forehead and slid the door open.

"Harry!" Hermione said squealing. Harry didn't have time to process his name being called for a racing Hermione came jumping at him, giving him a hug that nearly knocked him flat.

Harry has never thanked a wall so much than he did now, if it were not there, he was sure Hermione would tackle him like a hunk football player and the nurse would be the first Hogwarts staff he would catch up with.

Harry felt a wide smile form on his face that made his eyes crinkle. He hasn't seen any of them during the gap year. He pulled away from what felt like a really, really, really long hug.

"Haven't seen you guys much now have I?" Harry looked at Hermione and then to Ron, still wearing a smile.

"Yes and I apologize, it is really Ronald's fault for dragging me to his house," said Hermione who was raising one brow, giving a smirk to Ron.

"Harry are you listening to this? It's bullocks!" The trio laughed at Ron's words. It has been long since they had a moment like this together. You know, with Voldemort and all. With that, the train had blew its whistle and gradually chugged its way forward on the track.

Harry smiled as he stared at his two friends who were seated opposite him. Hermione was reading a book Harry saw as Transfiguration Year 7 and was leaning on Ron's shoulder, who was looking out the window.

As he laid slumped back on the cushion of the compartment seat, memories flooded his mind of times similar to this. The time they first met, the time when Harry was attacked by a dementor, the time when - Harry felt a sudden stop that made him jerk a bit forward and then back. They were here.

Harry disembarked the train and began walking towards the Gryffindor tower alongside Ron and Hermione with their hands intertwined. They soon reached the staircase, whispered the new password to the fat lady and entered into the Gryffindor common room.

"Blimey, I haven't been in this room in ages!" murmured an astonished Ron.

"It was only only year Ron, maybe even less, I'm sure you couldn't have missed this that much," Harry mentioned.

"Well yeah, I wasn't all up for 7th year here I mean, never was right?" chuckled Ron.

"Well the two of you better start unpacking, there's an announcement being held at the Great Hall." Hermione reminded, as she always does. It made Harry imagine her as a mother for some odd reason. No doubt she'll be a great one, she's brilliant. Ron must have drunk a jug of Felix Felicis to be this lucky, Harry thought.

He then quickly shook the thought away as he realized how wrong this was. Thinking about your best friend, who is in a 1 year relationship with your other best friend, as a mother was completely and utterly wrong.

However the wrongness of it is what made Harry think about it more. Like someone saying to keep quiet then you have a sudden urge to be loud. Harry thought about them together, Hermione and Ron, except instead of Ron, it was him. Again he did not know how he had come to think of this. He has a girlfriend who happens to be the younger sister of his-

"Harry what's going on with you? Did you even listen to what I had just said?" Hermione broke Harry from his attention. He noticed that he has rudely backed out of the conversation with his wrong thoughts.

"Oh-uh-yes I have been, honestly!" Harry noted quite clearly.

"Then you should know that Professor McGonagall has informed us to meet her at her office, am I mistaken?" Hermione asked with a sly smile and a brow raised.

"Uh, yeah, brilliant I'll see you there! Well at the Great Hall then-yeah anyway me and Ron are going to the boys dormitory, bye Hermione!" Harry stammered between his words. He almost always listened to Hermione, but not this time. Reason being, he was thinking of her.
