Dream: Are you okay?

Dream: Do you need me to come pick you up?

Dream: I'm gonna call the cops in five minutes if you don't reply

Blair's hands were too shaky for her to bother with texting, and Dream picked up on the first ring.

"Blair! Are you okay? What's going on?"

"Um, yeah, uh can you um-" Blair stammered. She knew of people who called the police and faked ordering a pizza, but she couldn't organize her thoughts enough to say anything.

"Wait, is he listening? Do you need me to come get you?" There was lots of background noise in Dream's call, but his voice pulled her focus enough to reply.

"Yeah. Yes."

"Okay, what's your address? I will be there in five."

She rattled off their address from muscle memory.

"Do you want me to stay on the phone with you?"

"No, that's okay," Blair said without thinking. She sort of did want him to stay, but didn't know how to go back and say so.

"Okay. I'll call you when I get there, okay?" She nodded before remembering that he couldn't see her.

"Yes."

"Stay safe. Give me five minutes."

And he hung up the phone.

Blair's mind hadn't checked back in, so she continued on autopilot. She grabbed a backpack, and stuffed her laptop, toothbrush, phone charger, and a change of clothes into it. She took all the cash she had saved up and her paperwork from under the mattress.

It wasn't until she grabbed the door handle to go back into the living room that she actually thought about what she was doing.

She was just gonna ghost Adam? And for what, a little argument? She sat down on the bed and ran her hands through her hair. Her phone kept buzzing.

Aspen: Blair, what's going on? Are you okay?

Mom: Hey sweetie, just checking in on you! Your brother called and said you had a fight with Adam?

Blair forgot that her brother watched their streams, and of course he called their mom. She sent off a few reassuring messages and pulled up twitter.

Her mentions were blown up with questions. Blair herself didn't do much streaming, but Adam had made a fair name for himself. To top it off, thousands more people had tuned in to the the soap opera that had become her life.

And her phone was ringing again.

"Hey."

"I'm here! I have the stream pulled up incase he starts anything- I'll just break into your apartment."

That put an small, unexpected smile on Blair's face.

"Okay. I'm coming down."

Blair quietly opened the door again, and her heart started pounding in her ears. Adam turned to look at her.

"Pizza's downstairs, I'll be back," she said carefully.

"Okay." He turned back to the game, slipping the headphones back on. "That was fast."

She grabbed her keys off the ring by the door and opened it. Adam didn't turn back to look at her at all.

Blair shut the door firmly behind her, and did everything she could not to run for the stairs. It was all a blur, the three flights and out the front door of the complex.
