She had met Taylor for lunch and then in Central Park yesterday, and it had felt so good. They were reconnecting, just like old times. Karlie and Taylor had a unique dynamic, where they could be together effortlessly. They didn't need adventurous activities or big events to be content together. Being together was enough. It was fun, and easy. This was so different from her dynamic with Joshua, where even forced fun was rare. Karlie felt herself being drawn to Taylor, reminding her of the intense feelings she had for Taylor when they used to be besties.
She never discussed those feelings with the singer to see if they were mutual. She was too scared of ruining the friendship they had years back. Now that they had been apart for some time, and then reconnected, Karlie felt all those feelings rushing back in. This time, she was determined to let herself embrace those feelings, and wouldn't push Taylor away again. After all, she wouldn't have the pressure from the Kushner family anymore.
Joshua had left her a few missed calls, again, but Karlie felt no rush to pick up the phone. She read his text messages quickly, before calling someone else:
Joshua: [10.08 AM] *My father wants you to come home to me. Come on, leave that singer girl alone, come home. You need us.*
Joshua: [10.56 AM] *Karlie, come on! You're never answering anymore. I hate to feel disrespected. Come. Home.*
Joshua: [11.10 AM) *Okay, bitch. Do what you want.*
Karlie heard that her phone call was answered, and said: "Heyy, are you busy?"
A familiar blonde giggled, and said, "No, not at all. Whyyyy? Another pap meeting planned?"
"Well, surprisingly, I'm not too busy either. No shoots or Klossy meetings today. And no, I've not called any photographers today. So what do you say, want to meet me?", Karlie said. She felt a wave of happiness flowing through her, excited about possibly seeing Taylor later.
Taylor answered, much to Karlie's happiness: "Well of course Kar, why not? Let's make a deal. You get takeaway lunch for us, I set up the TV, and we eat the food and watch movies. Does that sound good?"
Karlie smiled, and said: "Deal. I'll be there in an hour. Be ready Tay, I'll get lots of food!"

When they hung up the phone, Taylor was left on her couch, smiling. That was until she realised that she had given herself the task of picking out movies. On top of that, she had just had a new TV delivered and was yet to set it up. Smart move, Tay, she thought to herself. So, she got to work.
Karlie arrived precisely 58 minutes after she had ended their phone call, right on time, as usual. When she was let through by Taylor's security, she walked up to Taylor's apartment, finding a pile of DVDs and Taylor sitting on the floor, looking like she had just completed a quick workout. She had a few drops of sweat forming on her forehead, though she looked very good otherwise.
"Damn Tay, did you work out or something?", Karlie laughed. "Did you find a good movie or two yet? I have the food by the way, I put it in the kitchen." - She looks so cute like this -, Karlie thought, and got a smirk on her face.
Taylor answered her, "Well, I didn't realise I still needed to install my new TV, and I'm not the best handyman in New York so to speak. Luckily, one of my guards knew how to install this model, so we had no problems there. Then, I wanted to grab this DVD that had a Friends season recorded on it, but then I remembered that we had said movies, not series...",
Taylor didn't realise she had started rambling. Karlie found it cute that the blonde was so nervous around her and wanted to make their meeting as exciting as possible. But first, she would let Taylor finish her little monologue she'd started.
