"Let me go! I thought we're friends! Why are you doing this to me?!" A girl is heard shouting at a distance.

"Friends? Who told you we're friends?! We we're just hanging out with you to get rid of you! Hahaha!" A voice answered.

"What did I ever do to you?! Why are you doing this to me?!" The girl began to cry.

"Don't cry, you did nothing wrong we just don't like you; your existence is something that we hate." Another voice said.

"But...why?"

A footstep is heard and another voice answered. "Why? Cause you're a bitch that wants everybody for herself."

"And bitches in sheep's clothing deserves to be punished!" Another one added.

"Nooo! Please! I beg you! I will do anything just let me go! Somebody help me!!! Please don't do this!" The girl pleaded but to no avail.

Two others dragged her to the cliff.

"You sure you wanna do anything?" Said the last voice.

"Anything just please stop doing this to me!" She pleaded one last time.

"Then, get lost forever" The owner of the voice answered.

A smirk formed in her face and after that a loud scream followed by a thud was heard.

"Why..."

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

"It's that dream again! When will this stop! It wasn't me! I didn't do anything to you! Why do you keep on haunting me?!"

Trina woke up in the middle of the night, just like before, drenched in sweat and, panic building up on her chest, she looked at her alarm clock that says "2:55 AM" she decided to go down and get some water to calm her down.

Upon reaching the pantry, picked a glass and poured water in it, it's been months and she's still being bothered by the same nightmare.

"Eve..." She muttered.

She drank the water in her glass and was ready to go back to her room when she heard footsteps closing in. It was her uncle Jaime.

"Trina, why are you still awake? It's already three in the morning." Her uncle asked.

"I was woken up by a bad dream Uncle"

"Are you okay?"

"Yes Uncle, I'll go back to bed now."

"Okay, are you sure you want to go to school tomorrow already? It's only been a week since the incident" Her uncle asked.

"Yes, I don't want to miss any more of my classes uncle, especially now, graduation is in few months" She answered and smiled a bit in assurance.

"Okay then, if that's what you want."

"Yes uncle, goodnight"

She lied, she doesn't want to go to school yet, but she doesn't want those bullies to think they've won. She still fears the judging and pitiful look on the eyes of those students who saw her on her sorry and shameful state. But if she remains hidden at home, she will never get over it and she will continue to get haunted by the same dream day in and day out.

"I will not let you or them ruin my sanity, not now, not ever..." She promised before going back to bed.

________________________________________________________________________________

The next day, just like what she promised herself, Trina went back to school like nothing happened, she wore high socks to cover her still bruised knee.

When she entered the classroom, the noise dissipated and everyone's attention was on her. She heard whispers and she felt glances shot at her way.

She couldn't take it. She never wanted to be the center of attention if it's not about academics, but now she is, and in a negative way.

"What? Is it the first time you've seen someone naked walking on fours?" She said coldly. No one answered, they just looked down and kept silent.

"You guys don't need to feel sorry for me, I just did what I think is right and just. Can you stop staring now and mind your own business?" She told them, that's when her classmates did their own thing and ignored her again.

"So, this is how you felt huh? Is this my karma? Or did you curse me before you left?" She thought to herself.

She's in the middle of her deep thoughts when someone patted her shoulder and suddenly hugged her. She was caught off-guard.

"Trina... I'm so sorry I couldn't help you; I was so scared that the only thing I could do was tell your Uncle about it." She heard her friend Jane whisper in her ear while crying.

"It's okay Jane, I'm good now, no need to say sorry, none of it was your fault" she said assumingly.

Jane is her only close friend now, they met when they were still in grade school. Jane is the only person she can ask advice whenever she feels down, but she used to have another friend, a friend who was always there for her when times get rough. The three of them were always together, but that friend left a year ago.

"If only Eve is here... She could've gone against them and fought back..." Jane said while drying her eyes with a handkerchief.

"Eve..." She thought to herself, it's been a while since she last heard of that name being spoken by another person.

"I'm sorry, I know you're still hurt for what happened that day, but I just miss her and how we used to hangout before" Said Jane.

"It's okay, I miss her too, but what can we do? She left without saying a word" She said bitterly.

"Do you believe on what the rumors say?" Jane asked curiously.

"No, she will never commit suicide. Eve is not like that; Eve is a strong girl with a strong will."

"I believe so too, but why did she just disappear?"

"That I too cannot answer..."

She lied, because the truth is, Trina knows what happened to her friend a year ago, the reason why she left. And the reason why she's not coming back.
