Back at the main campus.
It's already time for the students to go home. The last subject of the day was just finished and everyone is waiting for their ride home and those who lives near the school choose to ride a bike home or walk.
"Trina, my dad's car is here already, I gotta go! See you again tomorrow!" Jane said to her friend.
"Yep, take care. I'll just wait for my uncle in the administrative building. Bye!" Trina waved at Jane.
After parting with Jane, Trina went to administrative building to wait for her uncle. She decided to text him that she would be waiting at the benches outside the building. She sat down and pulled a book from her hand, it her book in calculus, she wanted to pass the time and at the same time understand the last problem their teacher gave them, she likes to study things she doesn't understand in her free time. As usual, her uncle is going to be late in going out of his office again because he's stuck with his paper works, that's what he always told her and she doesn't doubt it. Seven years ago, her parents died in a car crash and her uncle is the only person she had left. He took her in and treated her like his own and with that she believes that her uncle doesn't deserve all the humiliation Simon and his group of friends does to her uncle. She's glad that they've been put to detention, the school can breathe for a long time without fearing the existence of those six students.
While Trina is busy going through her calculus book, she smelled something fragrant and sweet that made her a bit distracted, she lifted her gaze to look at the area in which she's sitting, she wanted to see where the smell comes from and saw a handkerchief being flown by the wind from the nearby tennis court.
"Hmm, maybe that's the one that smell's so good." She told herself as she put down her book and placed it into the bench. She stood up to reach for the handkerchief.
"I think someone may have dropped it while practicing. Hmm?" She examined the handkerchief and picked it up, she was right, the smell came from the handkerchief.
"Why does this smell so familiar?" She asked herself but in the end she decided to just fold the handkerchief and hand it over to the guidance office where all the lost and found stuff are being placed to be returned to the students who misplaced their items. She texted her uncle that she will be going to the guidance office for a brief moment to surrender the handkerchief she had found. She arranged her things, placed her book inside her bag and walked to the direction in which the guidance office is located. As she was walking, she bumped unto a girl who happens to smell just like the handkerchief she was holding.
"Oops! Sorry! I wasn't looking." The girl apologized.
"It's okay, I thought most of the students have left already." She said.
"Yeah, I was about to go home too, but something urgent came up. Wait! Aren't you Trina? The Principal's niece?" The girl asked.
"Yeah! If you don't mind me asking, what urgent thing kept you from going home?" She wanted to make sure that the girl is the owner of the handkerchief, so she asked.
The girl breathed in a sigh and said "My handkerchief has been missing and the place I went to was in the tennis court. I guess it fell or I accidentally left it there." The girl replied.
"Oh! Is that so? How does it look like?"
"It was a navy blue handkerchief with an E embedded at the bottom and had some gold rose prints in it." The girls described the lost handkerchief and she was right, the handkerchief the girl is looking for is the same handkerchief she was holding. She decided to give it back to the owner instead of proceeding to the guidance office to out it inside the lost and found box.
"Hmm, here. I guess this is yours." She handed the handkerchief to the girl. In her surprise the girl thanked her teary eyed.
"Oh my gosh! This is it! I thought I lost it already. This handkerchief is very important to me. My sister gave it to me before she died and for me this is priceless! Thank you!" The girl said as she wiped the tears that are eager to fall from her eyes.
"You're welcome! Glad you have it back!" She smiled at the girl.
"By the way I'm-" the girl was cut off form introducing herself when Trina's phone rang. It was her uncle calling.
"Sorry, I need to take this call" she said to the girl.
"Oh no, no, no, it's okay, go on" the girl smiled again.
"Hey Trina, you done? I'll just wait for you in the parking lot." Her uncle said through the phone.
"Okay Uncle." She said then she ended the call.
She turned around to say goodbye to the girl who owned the handkerchief, but upon facing the girl her nose met a small bottle with a different kind of smell, and that made her a bit dizzy.
"W-What is t-that..." She felt herself feeling light headed but she tried her best to not fall down.
"Oh this? This my dear, will bring you the best nightmare you've ever experienced. So, goodnight." After hearing the girl in front of her say that. She lost control of herself and fell on the floor.
"I forgot to introduce myself. I am Betrayal." with the last thing she heard before everything went black.
