[Name] sighed in her bed, remembering the events of last week.
It had only been a week, and it had only been about an hour before the dreadful confession, that [Name], Osana and Raibaru promised to stay best friends for life. But after her rejection, Osana had contacted her two friends, asking that they give her some space to heal. Raibaru complied with her request, and after a moment of hesitation, so did [Name]. She and Raibaru were still good friends though, and stayed in contact via text message.
She hoped her second week would be a little better...
7:30AM: AT SCHOOL
[Name] walked around Akademi warily. If Osana wasn't there to talk to her, would Raibaru be there at least? Much to her surprise, Raibaru informed her that she was mentoring the Martial Arts Club in co-operation with Budo Masuta. Which meant she was busier than ever now. Leaving [Name] alone.
[Name] had spent Saturday with Raibaru and a few other girls from school whom she had befriended, and had a much-needed lie-in on Sunday. Her dad, as usual, left her alone. Sometimes [Name] wondered if he even remembered he had a teenage daughter to look after. Oh well, she was almost an adult, so she could easily move out-
"[Name]! [Name]!"
It was Himari. [Name] smiled weakly as Himari grinned happily and threw her arms around her. "So good to see you today! Actually, I was about to go check something out - would you like to come along?"
"That sounds nice, Himari, but..." [Name] didn't feel like being a gardener that morning, "I'm sorry, I have plans this morning."
"Oh, that's okay!" Just as Himari was about to walk away, Ayano ran up to her, smiling.
"I just wanted to say you look lovely today!" she said."You're too kind! Thanks!" Himari thanked her. At once she saw Sakura, and excused herself from [Name] and Ayano to speak to her. Ayano turned towards [Name] with a smile.
"How are you today?" She greeted politely.
"Oh, I'm... fine today, thanks very much.""I see you're not hanging out with Osana anymore. Why is that?" Oh? Since when was Ayano concerned about Osana?
"Well... you see..." [Name] was about to tell Ayano of Osana and Taro, but decided that was not her place to do so. "Osana... just went through a bad experience and she needs some time to recover." Good. [Name] wanted to pat herself on the back for the amazingly thought out answer.
Ayano's expression did not change. "Oh, that's unfortunate. Well... let's head to the plaza."
[Name] obliged, following Ayano to the plaza. As she entered, she saw Taro sitting by the fountain as he usually did... except that he didn't have his book. And as her eyes averted towards Taro's side, [Name] figured out why. There was a girl sitting next to him, an unfamiliar looking girl with short, light-brown hair. She was wearing a mint green apron. Maybe she was in the Cooking Club. [Name] had taught herself how to cook simple meals, as there was no one to cook for her, but she was far from Gordon Ramsay level.
[Name] turned around to Ayano. She looked... unhappy. Almost... angry.
"Is everything alright Ayano?" she asked.Ayano switched to a smile. "I'm alright, thank you. I just... I felt a little sick, that's all." I mean, that's not really a lie.... I feel sick watching that girl talk and laugh with my Senpai...
"Oh, okay... Do you need me to follow you to the toilet?"
"Well... yes, I do have an.. urgent need." Ayano took off from the plaza with her phone in hand. [Name] glanced sympathetically, hoping she was alright.
