7:30AM - BEFORE SCHOOL

"Ayano, I've got some information about some of Amai's interests," [Name] said that morning while walking to school side-by-side with Ayano. Ayano turned around to face her with a smile.

"Good work, [Name]." She praised. "But don't tell Shoku yet. I have a plan."
"O...kay..."

The two girls ran up towards the Cooking Club. Ayano clenched her fists upon noticing that the person Amai was talking and laughing with was her beloved Senpai, but she managed to control herself. It will all be over soon.

"What did she say?" Shoku asked [Name].
Ayano smiled deviously. "She can't tell you yet. Here's the plan. I'll give you an earpiece and give instructions on what to say. Just repeat after me and you won't fail."

"That's...not a bad plan at all." [Name] said in awe at Ayano's cunning.

"You really think this will get Amai to like me?" Shoku asked hopefully.
Ayano nodded. "Of course." She said confidently. "I never fail in my duties."

"But first we obviously need to know what kind of guy Amai is into," [Name] explained sensibly. "You can't just ask her. We have to find some way to gain her trust so she can trust us as well." She then placed a hand over a mouth. Jeez when did she get so mature?

Ayano nodded. "You're right... [Name] follow me."
"What?!"
"We're going to go ask Amai if there's anything she needs help with. We can do it for her then, and she'll trust us." The girl said calmly, as if it was a completely normal thing to do. "Just like you said."

"...Yeah."
[Name] awkwardly tagged along behind her friend up to Amai and Taro who had just finished their conversation. "Oh, hello." Taro waved.

Ayano suddenly felt her heart thumping and her face going red. She clasped her hands together shyly. Taro looked at her in utter confusion and stupidity. "Uh... Are you... okay?"

"F-Fine." Ayano babbled. Taro nodded, although still a little confused, he walked away with his book in hand.

"Good morning [Name]!" Amai greeted her joyfully. "And you too, Ayano! Is there something you need?"
Turned out, Amai did have something she needed help with.

"Well... I don't want to be a bother but, there's a cookbook I've been meaning to get my hands on." Amai said shyly. "I've heard it has some of the best recipes! It's called The Joy of Cooking. I would ask my parents but they're very busy with the bakery..."

"[Name] and I can find it." Ayano answered.
I didn't even say anything yet-

"You will?" Amai's eyes shone. "Thank you, both of you! Good luck!" She walked off to join Ajia.

"Thanks a lot Ayano, where will we get this cookbook?" [Name] said. "I have no idea where to get it. I've never even heard of it."

"I know who has it." Ayano said. "Shima Shita of the Martial Arts Club. But Amai is too shy - and probably even scared - to ask her so we have to do it instead."
"How do you know all this, Ayano?"
"Eh... I've been in Akademi long enough."

[Name] nodded, and together they set off to the Martial Arts Club, where they found Shima resting in a corner. She looked up and saw the two girls. "Hello!" she waved. "Is there something you need?"

"Do you happen to own a cookbook called The Joy of Cooking?" Ayano asked. Straight to the point.

"Um... well, yes... but..." Shima twiddled her fingers. "It's quite special to me, even if I can't cook. I would be willing to give it to you though... if you paid me 5 dollars."
