"I can't dance." Jennie admits shyly.
"You can dance, you probably just don't know it." Without a warning, Lisa pulls Jennie closer and joins the sea of dancing people. They manage to get in the middle without complications. "See? Just follow my lead."
A slow song is playing so they don't have to do much but sway side to side.
Slowly, Jennie eases into the steps until she's doing it unconsciously. "You're crazy, you know that, right?" She asks with a comfortable smile.
"If I'm crazy, then what are you?"
"A fool for following you."
Lisa shrugs. "Fair." She holds Jennie out so she can spin. When she's done, Lisa pulls her close again and holds her by her waist. "I'm starting to think you're a liar." Jennie's eyes widen but Lisa's next words puts her at ease. "You're not as bad as you said you were. You're not even bad!"
Unknowingly, the music fades behind them as they converse. "Maybe I do know how to dance, I just can't remember."
"You surely know how to dance. I know a dancer when I see one."
"Is that so? I'm gonna make you eat your words." Then Jennie purposefully steps on Lisa's foot, making the Thai retract it on impulse.
"Why are you trying to prove me wrong?"
"How did you suddenly gain the ability to tell a dancer and a normal person apart?" Jennie asks curiously.
"Hm," Then Lisa looks away shyly for a second. "I may or may not have been part of my high school's dance group and went to become regional champions."
The new found information causes the older one surprise. She loves how she learns new things about Lisa everyday and everyday, she wants to learn more about her. "You're a dancer?"
"I danced. Key word, DANCED. And no, I wouldn't call myself a dancer. I'm just a person who enjoys dancing."
"Regional champions, huh?" The music turns into a slow and sensual one. Unconsciously, their positions changes. Jennie loops her arms around Lisa's neck, the Thai's arms resting on the older one's waist. "What happened after that?"
Lisa wasn't expecting that Jennie would take an interest about this 'dancer' side of her. She really thinks it's nothing special. In fact, it's been years since she danced. "Our group went to nationals and came third but I missed it because I got injured two weeks before. Soyeon's in the same group but she stayed to look after me."
"I see why."
Lisa cutely cocks her head to the side. "Why I got injured?"
"No," Jennie can't help herself but poke Lisa's cutely scrunched nose. After doing so, she realise how close their faces are but she doesn't say anything about it because she likes it. "Why your group finished third."
"And what do you think?"
"Because you weren't there." The Korean answers easily.
Lisa chuckles. "Trust me, compared to my group mates, I have two left feet."
"I doubt that." An inquisitive eye looks at Lisa up and down. "I don't know, now that you brought it up, you do look like a dancer actually. I wanna see you dance."
"You're witnessing it now."
Jennie tosses her head back in laughter. Lisa felt electricity shoot through her body. "Not this. The other kind."
"I don't know," people in the dance floor are starting to disappear around them and they're one of the few couples left but they don't even notice it. From afar, Soyeon sees her best friend dancing with Jennie and she can't help but mirror the huge smile drawn on Lisa's lips right now. "I haven't danced in a while, I might not know how to anymore."
