Never ask me to trust you
Because that would make me suspicious
Though I'll never disown or judge you
I may jump to conclusions quickly
I've been left by friends
Who called themselves foes
Enemies wanting to make amends
Who ran with my hope
People who called themselves forever
And made themselves a day
Who swore we'd be together
While they walked away
They covered their back
With nothing is forever
But now in trust I lack
And I don't want to be severed
From the world for one crime or one time
I screwed up missed one line and they left
Didn't drop a goodbye good grief
Now I have this broken backstabbing belief
