Ibuprofen

Here comes the night again

The darkness my sacred friend

Here comes my inability to sleep

My tilted head so I can't weep

Here comes my runny nose

Compare it to a leaking hose

Here comes the allergy meds

Maybe now I can sleep in this bed

Here comes the splitting headache

Lack of water and (haha) sleep keeps me awake

Here comes I'm up again

Searching for fixes of my pain and sin

Here comes the pill case with answers to my problem

I'd make it plural but this pill can't solve all of em'

Here comes a glass of water the Ibuprofen goes down

I shrug my shoulders at my ability to stay above water and still drown

Here comes me waddling back to bed again

There's really no point, I know I'll be up again for more Ibuprofen

A/N: I made this poem on a trip to visit my mom in Arizona. I could not sleep to save my life and it was so late so I made this the next day. The night after I wrote this was an exact replica of this poem. Worst part, I got up at like 8 the next day after I passed out around 6. Rough times. I say that like the coronavirus doesn't exist.
