A Slow News Day - Chapter 14

It had been a few days since the party and since then, nobody had brought up what happened at the party. You were currently standing outside the gym with some of the volleyball team. They were waiting for volleyball practice to start and you were keeping them company before you went to the library to study or go home. You recalled what happened the day of the party, 

Osamu and Suna ran out of the house, "Sorry it took so long!" Suna called sliding into the drivers seat. Osamu got into the passenger seat and you go into the car. Osamu nodded, 

"We did expect that to take that long."  Osamu admitted. 

"It's fine," You informed them. 

"Did Atsumu give you any trouble?" Osamu asked while you gave Suna his car keys and he turned the car on. 

"Nope, it was fine." You decided to not bring up the conversation you and Atsumu had outside the car. 

Osamu nodded, "That's good."  After that you guys didn't talk to each other much. Just Suna's music playing in the background. You guys were all tired but ocassionally Osamu and Suna started talking to each other. You wanted to join in on there conversation but you weren't sure how so you just listened, nodded ocasionally, and looked at Atsumu ocasionally to make sure he was alright. 

You thought he was asleep but he must've woken up, Atsumu held your hand, tugging it slightly, "Sunshine," He mumbled turning his head to look at you, you didn't hear him, "Sunshine," 

"Oh sorry, yes?" You turned to look at him and he smiled, 

"You answered." 

"I-" You covered your face and pulled your hand away in embrassment, well fuck. What do you even say to that? You sighed, you shouldn't have answered him.  Atsumu started giggling. 

"Why does he call you sunshine?" Osamu asked turning to look at you,

"Oh, uhm, I don't know. He brought it up before he got in the car." 

"Samu'! Samu', listen I don't even have to know what you're face looks like to know what you're thinking."  Atsumu said whipping his face around to look at Osamu. Atsumu laughed a bit before continuing. Atsumu made a few wild circular gestures at your face, "See! A Sunshine, and there always so..." Atsumu stopped to think, "Sunshiney." 

You just stared slightly confused, "Yeah," You said grabbing his hands putting them together. "Do you need some more water?" 

"You have water?" Atsumu asked visibly confused, 

"Ya, I put it right there in the cup holder," 

"Oh," Atsumu said laughing and drinking the water. Atsumu spilled some of the water on his shirt and jacket. You winced and carefully took the water bottle from him, it was almost finished.

It went back to silence, you stared at out your window to see that your house was coming up. You glanced at Atsumu, he was playing around with the wet spot on his shirt and jacket. You shook your head and sighed. You took off your jacket and helped Atsumu dry the spot on his shirt. "You know if you weren't so clumsy, this wouldn't happen." 

Atsumu grumbled out a response but you couldn't hear it. Suna's car screeched to a halt and he he tapped the wheel a bit, "Okay, we're here y/n." He said and you grabbed the water bottle. You gave your jacket to Atsumu, 

"He can keep it, it's already wet from the water anyway. Thank's for driving me Suna!" 

"Of course kid."  Suna said smiling. 

Osamu nodded, "Are you sure he can keep it?" 

You nodded, "Ya, of course." 

With that you turned and left. 

You laughed slightly, remebering everything that had happened. You covered your mouth trying not to laugh. "What's so funny?" Suna asked confused.

You turned to Atsumu and cupped his face, he looked at you confused. It took you a bit to stop laughing but you squished his face and met his eyes, "Sunshine~" 

Atsumu turned red and back away, he waved his hands about dramatically, "Oh shut up!"

Suna and Osamu laughed, "Okay sunshine." You stuck out your tounge. 

"Whatever kid."

im sorry this was so short 

i would like to say i have school and its effecting this more then I thought 

i might stop updating mondays but im not sure. 

i get really tired by the time im writing these chapters but ill be sure to try and give it my all
