Angel leaned against the small wall near the entrance to Goodneighbor, her pocket a bit lighter now from the bullets she bought from K-L-E-O. She had bought enough bullets to take on a small army. Nick stood near her, smoking a cigarette, the smoke wafting out of his nose and the large hole in his ruined neck. She had her arms cross over her chest lightly as Hancock came up, smirking.

"Hey, thanks for waiting, let's get this freakshow on the road." Angel rolled her eyes and pushed off the wall, heading out of the front gate, Nick following next to her, Hancock bringing up the rear. Was it something he said? He shook it off as a bad night and caught up next to her, falling into step. That's how it went for about an hour before Hancock spoke up, "So what's your story Sunshine?" Angel didn't answer and Nick looked to Hancock and shook his head just slightly as Angel stopped in her tracks.

Hearing something to her right she looked to Nick as she pulled out a throwing knife as he unholstered his pistol and cocked it before she turned as a large mutated dog barreled out rubble, Angel growling just slightly, only Hancock catching it. The dog charged them, snarling and foaming at the mouth. It lunged at her and she dodged it, the creature's jaws closing around air as she strong armed the creature around the torso, bringing it to the ground, the move almost to fast for them to catch. She drove the throwing knife into the creatures chest and it whimpered once and then lay still.

She pulled the knife out of the creature's chest and wiped the blood on her jeans before putting it away and continued on. Hancock just stood there, watching. She had moved faster than he could follow, and that was interesting. VERY interesting. He shook himself out of the trance and ran to catch up with them. Nick chuckled as he caught up. Angel hadn't even broken a sweat from that little battle. That's how the rest of the afternoon went, it was quiet between the three of them.

Near sundown Angel, Hancock and Nick found a small parking garage to hole up in for the night. She set to finding tinder to start a small fire as Nick and Hancock set to make sure the area was clear of enemies. While they searched they spoke quietly, "What's her story Nicky?" He sighed gently, "Its not for me to tell. But what she has told me, which isn't much, is horrible. I thought the institute were horrid when they tossed me out in the scrap heap, but what they did to her...."

He trailed off, Angel's voice echoing off the parking garage. "I can hear you two talking." She was two, no three stories down and she could hear them clear as day. One of the abilities the institute's experiments had given her. Hancock looked at Nick, who's yellow eyes looked back at him. "Theres no way she can hear us, she's bluffing." "No Hancock, she's not." Angel got a good fire going for them and pulled out some meat that was still good. Thank god for salt.

She grabbed a slab of scrap metal and put the two pieces of meat on the slab as Nick and Hancock came down from the upper floors of the parking garage. She didnt look at them as they sat down near the fire, Nick looking like he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, while Hancock just watched her, not able to take his eyes off the strange woman in front of him. She was truly something else. She pulled her piece of meat off the slab of steel and pushed the other piece towards Hancock who took it greatfully.

They ate quietly as the sun began to set, Angel felt her blood began to quicken in her veins as she smirked very slightly, Nick noticing that, "Got that itch huh?" She swallowed her food and stood, Hancock watching her as she grabbed her sniper rifle and headed towards the ramp to the higher levels of the parking garage and out of sight.

Nick sighed gently and looked towards Hancock, who hasn't taken his eyes off the spot where she moved out of sight.  He smirked, oh Hancock had it bad already, it didn't take a detective to figure that out. "She is a complicated one John, she plays things close to the vest, and with good reason." Hancock looked to Nick, "How did you two even meet?" Nick dug out his pack of cigarettes and handed one to him, who took it, fishing around in his pocket for his lighter. He fished it out and lit the cigarette, Nick lighting his as he took a long drag off of it.

"That old friend, is a long story."

---------------

Angel stepped out into the cool night air and took a deep breath, it was unantuarly cool for the month of September. She cracked her neck and stepped over to the edge of the roof, the moon rising slowly and it was bigger than normal that night. She sat down on the edge of the ruined railing and fished out a small hand held device from her pocket and turned a dial, hearing static as it kicked on, but then it quickly connected to Diamond City Radio.

She sat the device down next to her and took the sniper rifle off her back. She took it and set it to her shoulder, looking down the scope, seeing a few molerats here, a few bloat flies there. She put her rifle down next to her and leaned forward some, hands on her knees, watching the buildings across from her, looking for any signs of movement. She closed her eyes, feeling her body start to change, scales apparing over her entire body, claws replaced fingernails, fangs replaced cabinets. She rolled her neck, hearing it crack as bones shifted. Her wings came out of her back and she opened her eyes, they a bright golden color, shining some in the dying light.

She stood slowly, her wings flapping some as they adjusted. She had tried flying once, but learned very quickly that was a bad idea as it landed her badly broken arm and fractured wrist. She never tried it again after that. She felt movement near her and she looked over and growled, a group of ferals clambered towards her. She pulled a hunting knife out of her boot as they ran towards her. She side stepped one and pushed it away.

She kept her knife out but didn't use it, not yet. It was like a dance, she twirled some, pushing the ghouls away, not once drawing blood on them. They shouted and gurgled, trying to attack her, but she dodged them, until on got her across the cheek and she stopped. She growled low in her chest like an animal and like lighting that flashed across the night sky, she struck, slashing her claws across the neck of the feral who was stupid enough to strike her, its head coming clean off.
