Hancock groaned and sat up slowly, holding his head, it felt like he had gotten into a fight with a deathclaw and lost. Wait, he was in his bed, fully clothed. "Found you passed out at the third rail." Farenhight leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over her chest lightly. He searched for the tin of mentats on his bedside table and grabbed them, popping a few in his mouth. Farenheight watched him, he was not only her boss but her friend. She left him to it, having to go take over for a watchman for first shift.
Angel and Nick were down in the third rail eating breakfast, she already on her third bowl of noodles and he chuckled. "Slow down Doll, its not like someone's gonna take it from you." She looked at him and rolled her honey hazel eyes, finishing up the bowl and burped, Nick chuckling. She had always been like this, ever since he found her in the ruins. He watched her down a bottle of Nuka Cola as Charlie floated over and she paid for her food and drink as a voice spoke up from the stairs and she froze slightly, "Well well, what do we have here." She looked over her shoulder, Hancock stood there, smirking. He walked over and sat down next to her and ordered a bowl of noodles. "So, I have a proposal for ya, I need to get out there, reconnect with my roots. So i want to come with you."
She looked at Nick who gave her a look before she looked back at Hancock, who was smirking at her, a cigarette hanging from his ruined lips, her guard was up, it was understandable as to why. She didn't know him nor trust him yet. She played everything close to the vest. "Can you even leave? Aren't you the mayor?" "The mayor is still the mayor whether he's in residence or not. So what'd say?" She looked to him and then sighed gently, "Alright, you can come with me." He smiled fully and clapped his hands once before tucking into his breakfast. She looked at Nick who looked at her, they having a silent conversation.
Hancock watched them, wondering what was going through their heads but didn't ask. He finished his food and stood, that getting Angry and Nicks attention. "Gotta make an announcement to my people, meet me at the front gate in thirty minutes." Angel watched Hancock move up the stairs and out of sight and let out a breath, Nick smirking.
She looked to Nick, narrowing her eyes slightly, "Not a word Nicky." He smirked and stood, she following him up the stairs and out to the street. She heard Hancock's voice and moved out of the doorway and looked up, seeing him standing on a white washed balcony. "Take your time everyone. No need to rush." Everyone stood around in the street, Hancock looking down at them as he spoke. "Its time for your mayor to take a walk." The crowd protested, saying they needed him, that he couldn't leave. "I'm still gonna be here in spirit brother, but like any hot, blooded relationship, sometimes you gotta spend time apart, let things cool off, remind yourself of who you are." Angel watched him, he could definitely control a crowd, that was for sure.
"I'm still your mayor, I'm still gonna be here when you need me, but its time for me to stop living some damn comfortable, cause we all know that someone in power doesn't deserve to be comfortable for long. Now, what the best town in the commonwealth, where someone can live free with no judgment!" "Goodneighbor! Of the people, for the people!" The crowd slowly departed, Angel looking up at Hancock, who looked down at her, smirking, a slight mischevious glint in his dark eyes.
Hancock moved back inside the statehouse and packed a small bag with assorted chems, ammo and the like. He grabbed his double barrel and sat it in the holster at his left hip. He slung the small bag over his shoulder and headed out to meet Nick and Angel at the front gate.
