Mads and jaden met once again in the last class of the day, music.
They took their seats next to one another, obviously trying to avoid the awkward tension.
MT:alright how's everyone?
E:good
MT:great okay so I need two student's how about.... Madison and...... Jaden! Please come up to the front.
Mads and jaden both sighed before getting up and walking up to the front.
MT:alright so today we're gonna learn about collaboration conditions (BTW in just making some random crap up so roll w it) when during wanting to sing with someone you have to know these rules, There has to be some kind of connection between the 2 singers or else the music wouldn't be heartfelt, the singers can be best friends, lovers, or even rivals! As long as their relationship matches the theme of the song it will turn out to be very genuine.
Mads and jaden looked at eachother following the teachers words.
MT:now mads, jaden, I'm gonna assume you two grew a friendship over being partners.
Mads and jaden awkwardly nodded.
MT:okay are you sure you 2 can master a duet?
M:yea i mean sure
J:yea
MT:alright I'm gonna give you a few minutes to choose a song.
Mads and jaden walked to the side while the rest of the class was focused on some other things.
Mads pov
M:okay... So what should we sing?
J:I dunno maybe.... I dunno
M:ugh
J:okay how about that one song 'almost is never enough'?
He looked up the lyrics and showed me, I quickly remembered it but took his phone because I wasn't really sure if I knew all the lyrics.
He let me take it and we went back to Mr. Flynn.
J:we chose a song.
M:yea I'm gonna play on the piano while we both have verses in it.
MT:great!

Mads sat on the piano and played the instrumental of the song on the speakers.
It started playing and mads took a deep breath and glanced at him, he gave her a quick thumbs and a smile..
The class fell quiet as the teacher observed the two students.
She started singing her verse.
