As soon as I pulled up to my house I saw my dad coming in the driveway.

I got out of my car and hugged him.
We both walked in and he said hi to my mom and brother.

Dad:how was the party pumpkin?

Dad:of course hun, now I am going to eat dinner, are you joining us?

I walked up to my room and took my shoes off, I got in a tank top and sweat pants then went back downstairs.

Everyone was at the table so I just sat in my spot across Dakota. I had my phone in my lap and started eating.

Dad:so Kota-

My phone dinged interrupting my dad.

M:sorry

Dad:yea how was your flight with mom?

D:it was grea-

My phone dinged two more times.

I nervously smiles and stood up.

M:excuse me

I went to the bathroom quickly and looked at it.
