✿ Chapter 12 ✿

"I thought we had an arrangement? your Highness" Ariana clarified

"We do" Enji answered

"My mother always told me never put off till  tomorrow, what can be done today" Ariana lectured "We should move up the wedding, to prevent any distractions" She added while looking at N/N and Shoto dancing together

"I see your point"

Back with N/N and Shoto

N/N's POV

"N/N, I want you to stay with me" Shoto whispered
"I-I can't, Princess Yaoyoruzu-"
"She's very nice, but-"
"You belong together, I shouldn't have come"
"Goodbye Shoto" I said while letting go
"You don't understand" He remarked
"Please, don't make this any harder" I said while walking away leaving Shoto with a slightly depressed look

N/N left the ballroom to where Midoriya was so she could talk things out with him since Midoriya is very understanding and likes to help as much as he can, after all he did took pity on her when she washed up on their island as a child and raised her with the help of his friends.

Midoriya's POV

"Why is everything so complicated?" N/N asked in a slightly stressed manner
"Life is full of change, most of it good, but not always easy..." I answer
"I need to know who I am, where I belong, but I can't remember anything before I came into the island" She remarked

I turn towards the carriage that I saw earlier and pointed it out to N/N
"See that flag there?"
"With the Lion?"
"Yes! Aoyama and I found that similar flag when you washed a shore when you came from the sea" I clarified
"I-I never knew that"
"I never it mattered until tonight"
"It could be from the ship I sailed on!" N/N said before running towards the carriage

(A/N: I just gonna explain somethings here

1. The next chapter is about you becoming good friends with Princess because in the movie, she didn't seem that bad, in my opinion I think she needed more attention

2. The Todoroki kingdom, I know really uncreative, their flag symbol is a dragon because a dragon can come in many elements but in this, its mostly fire and ice

3. Your kingdom flag symbol is a lion, now I'm not gonna reveal who your long lost parent is, Its a lion because it represents the kindgom's burning passion and fire, This could be a hint of who your parent could be BTW

Back to the story

N/N's POV
I run towards the carriage that Midoriya pointed out, since there was no one their I came up to the horse
"Umm, Excuse me this flag, where is it from?" I ask
"The proud kingdom of _______!" The horse answered (I ain't revealing who could it be, ok?)
"Oh and How far away is that?" I continue to ask
"A two days ride, including the river passing, and that rocky path to the north-" He said before realizing something "You can actually understand me?" He asked
"Yes, who did you bring tonight?"
"The Duke and Duchess"
"Do you know, did they have a daughter, once, long ago?" I asked in a kind of pleading tone hoping for an answer that could help
"Uh, No just three sons" He answered
"Oh... Thank you" I said slightly disappointed but atleast its better to assume that they are your parents

Shoto's POV

After the ball, I received word that my father wanted to speak with me, this gave me a bad feeling since he did saw me dancing with N/N earlier and knowing about my planned engagement, he could be planning to get rid of N/N or moving my wedding day closer

I walk into the empty throne room, My father was waiting for me
"You asked to see me?" I said in my usual monotone voice
"There's been a change in your wedding plans" He said, I was slightly worried about it
"You're marrying Princess Yaoyoruzu in three days" He answered
I knew he was going to move it closer bur I didn't expect it to be that close that it would be in three days
"No" I responded
"No, What?"
"I don't want to marry somebody I don't love" I responded once again slight mad
"You have a responsibility to marry a princess, to align our kingdoms" My father reasoned
"Yaoyoruzu is a nice girl but-" I tried to explain but he cutted me off
"Then there is nothing more to discuss..."

I narrowed my eyes at him before finally saying "Great kings make hard decisions"
"Exactly"
"This is the hardest thing I've ever done, but I can't spend the rest of my life always following your orders" I said before setting down my crown on a nearby table
"Fuyumi will run the kingdom" I added
"Don't test my patience!" He said, about to become angry
I just looked at him before walking away
"SHOTO!!!" He screamed, I continued to walk away, but after he screamed I could hear a vase shatter which my father probably pushed in anger

I knew the only way to escape from him was to sail away, I decided to take N/N along with me, just in case if they do something to her after I leave.

I walk into the greenhouse
"N/N!" I continued to call her before stopping by a nearby tree, I decided to write a letter

Please meet me in the rose garden tonight
Let's sail away together

Forever your, Shoto

I didn't really say it outloud because I suspected someone could be listening to me, I leave the letter at the bottom of the tree before leaving

Uraraka's POV
I was resting on the side of a tree until I heard the Prince walk inside of the greenhouse calling out N/N's name, he walked around a bit before stopping by the tree I was resting at, I panicked and grapped a big flower pot to hide myself, I didn't really hear much but I knew he was writing a letter

After he left I suspected something about him, I grabbed the letter unfolded it for me to read, after I read it I let it dissolve in the fountain
"He isn't taking N/N anywhere..."
