"Beyond the stars/laid the darkness in her/waiting for his light /to reach /from amidst /the stars."

Turning the pages and reading the tiny lines of poetry made Nandini wonder about each sentence, each word, each letter, and most importantly the writer of these tiny poetic lines.

Just wondering a little far from the campsite, she was admiring the twilight. The sky blushing with pink clouds,  the tiny stars fighting to be seen, the moon playing hide and seek with the eyes of the explorer by hiding behind the clouds now and then.

It was just an hour or so that they had reached Mangalore and now, they were all set in this campsite area. They had already set their own tents and two were designated to be in one tent. And luckily, students could choose their own partner so Nandini paired up with Navya. Jeff was to stay with a classmate of her own senior group.

After setting themselves, Nandini was in no mood to rest being in her hometown, so she started to wander off a little far from the campsite while Navya was taking a rest.

Just then her eyes fell into the diary lying under a tree with its pages turning with the breeze flowing at a steady pace. She went up to the place and picked up the diary.

Turning to the first page she came across beautiful writing which was so attractive and neatly written with a black pen on the white page. The type of writing which made you want to ask if only my handwriting was so good too.

Shifting her attention to the words from the handwriting, Nandini read the words out loud.

" I  open  at  the  close."

She was wondering what that meant but could not just figure it out so continued to turn pages and ponder over each thought, each poetic line, and each quote written in such a beautiful manner. And the handwriting was like cherry on top.

"Looking at someone's diary without their knowledge is bad manners you know." Nandini's attention was diverted from the words to the familiar voice.

There he was standing with the famous smirk of arrogance plastered on his perfect lips.

"It does not consider to be the one if the diary is found lying abandoned in the middle of the jungle..." she replied while he looked at her for seconds before making his way towards where she was.

"But who said it was abandoned, I clearly remember putting it under the shade of a tree along with my other belongings. So, Can I say you were trying to steal? " Nandini narrowed her eyes at his audacity to call her a thief though indirectly making him chuckle. But two could play it.

"Yes, you can say that I was stealing..." seeing his bewildered expression she knew he didn't expect that answer, " stealing the thoughts woven so beautifully." he smiled before making his way and sitting under the shade of the tree after unwrapping a small mat and making it lie on the floor.
