Chapter 1

(Y/N) POV
It took a lot of courage and a lot of hope but you had finally escaped the hell hole you called a home. "Finally..." you said quietly. Finally being able to see the sky again for once was an achievement you have been wanting for years and you had finally achieved it. You had gotten far into the forest and stopped to get some air.
You sat by a tree and opened the small bag you had used to get some small food and survival materials so you can stay alive for now. When you went to grab some food you had stolen you put your hand into the bag and rummaged around. Nothing. You started to panic and open the bag more and started removing the contents inside, still. Nothing. "H..huh..?" You said . It seems you had forgotten the food in your 'room' before you left the house, you sighed and started to think about how you were going to get food. Then it hit you. "Oh! There must be food somewhere in the forest or At least close by." You said and sighed in relief.

Short time skip

You had found absolutely no edible food in the forest, So you had to improvise. You looked around and started to wonder if there was an end to the forest, out of curiosity you walked in a direction and was looking for at least a river of some sort. Eventually after walking for a while you reached the end of the forest to some abandoned city it seemed. You stretched your arms out and looked around, you saw a river nearby and jumped from the high hill you were on so you could drink some. After a few sips of the decent water you stretched again and yawned. "Hhng.. I guess I should start thinking of a place to consider a home for the time being.." You stood up and looked around.
Not seeing much you turned your head around and saw a moving object, seemed to be some human and... weird small creatures. You were confused because you never knew what an animal was never the less a dog. You stared at them for a while and then hear some yelling in the distance.
You got a little worried but stayed by the river in fear of getting hurt. You sighed again and stared at the running man, seemed to be a young boy around your age, he worse a blue coat and blue hat. He had long white slender hair and had some food in his hands. You looked at the food and your stomach started to growl, it seemed so good. You were slightly scared to walk up to him but your legs moved on their own, eventually getting to the wall that blocked you from reaching above. You looked around and saw some boxes and smiled.
You pushed the boxes as best you could, you never got proper food or exercise so it was quite hard to push them but you eventually got the boxes to the wall. You hopped on each one of them and jumped up to the top, you stood up and looked around for the man, he was now walking slower and wasn't to far from you. You were a little anxious to go ask for some food but you knew if you wanted to survive you had to ask him.
Mustering up courage you started to walk over to him and the strange creatures beside him. Your heart bounding each step you breathed in and out slowly until you reached closer to him, the strange creatures seemed to notice your presence and turned around and started to make noise, your eyes in fear you started to shake and all your confidence was gone. The man slowed down and turned his head to see you in a scared state. Completely frozen. Your eyes drifted to his and his drifted to yours. You stared at each other for a while and then he finally spoke up. "Hello..? Do you need anything..?" He asked in a calm voice. You broke out of the stare and stood quite for a while, then you finally spoke up. "A-a... c-could i-.. y-.ou..." you stumbled over words and you had a slight blush on your face. "C-could y-you hel...p m-me..." you said in a shaky voice. He stared at you for a while, looked back up, and finally spoke again. "No, go ask someone else"
In complete shock you were having an anxiety attack, you froze and started to tremble. You started to tear up in fear and responded, "o-...ok..." your voice shaky again. You were about to turn around when suddenly one of the mysterious creatures jumped on your back. In shock you slowly turned your head around and screamed, "AAAH!! W-WHAT ARE Y-YOU!!? P-PLEASE DON-T HURT M-ME...!!" You screamed and immediately curled up into a ball on the ground, bawling your eyes out. The mysterious creature only started to lick your hair as you felt the slimy saliva hit your scalp you jolted up and screamed once again. "AAAAAAH!!!!" The man had to cover his ears because of how loud you screamed. He immediately looked over to see you in a crying mess, you were shaking and trembling.
He blinked and then went over to you, he pushed one of the mysterious animals aside and bent down to you. He reached his hand out and awaited your hand. In confusion you stopped trembling but only stared at the hand he gave to you, eventually you gave him your hand and he pulled you up from the ground, he sighed and spoke, "I guess you do need help, come with me." He said in a quiet tone, holding your hand and walking you to a new area, it seemed to be a sewer area. You had heard about these places from your 'parents' because they always said "If you don't behave you will be thrown into a sewer like a little rat" you started to tremble as you walked in and eventually he reached his usual spot and sat down.
He looked over to you and patted the area next to him, you were still crying a little but you slowly walked over and sat down, knees to your chest.
He looked over to you and you looked over to him and he sighed. "Well, now that were here I guess we should introduce ourselves." He sat up and looked at you again. "My names kite, you?" You continued to stare at him for a while and then looked down, "(y/n)..." you said in a quiet tone.
He looked up and then to the food he gathered, he broke off a piece and gave it to you. "Here, you seem hungry." He said, placing the bread on-top of your knees. You looked at the bread and then grabbed it with your hand, sitting up just like he did, you took a small bite and smiled, tears still in your eyes. "Thank you.. kite.." He looked back at you and grew a small blush on his cheeks.

"Your welcome" he replied.
