Chapter 3

It had been a day after your breakdown to kite and you had fallen asleep near the dogs, leaving you with slight warmth. Kite had pondered why you suddenly let all your thoughts and troubles out to him at once even though you met simply two days ago, but he ignored it as he was traveling around seeing if he can stock up on food for the day. You were sitting up to one of the concrete walls of the sewer when someone in the distance fell from a drain from above and you began to panic. Immediately you stood up trying to see the mysterious man but it was darkness as the sewer you were currently in didn't have much light in it. Before you could say anything kite was suddenly behind you and he looked confused when he saw you with a stern face staring at the man in the distance before he knew what was going on. He quickly waved at the man and yelled out to him, "Ging!" He said waving. You were confused and looked at the two before the man known as 'ging' walked into the light waving at kite.
"So what your saying is you know him..?" You sated in a confused voice to kite. "Yep. This is ging." He replied taking a small bite out of the bread he stole earlier. You returned to gaze at ging before turning to him and bowing. "My apologies, my name is (y/n)." You said to him before looking up at him. "No need to be formal. Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance (y/n)." He replied, holding a hand out for you to shake which you accepted. "Well, now that you two know each other," kite began, "How about we start out training?" He questioned ging as he nodded and they both turned to me. I looked confused for a moment before realizing, "A-ah! Of course!" You replied.
Eventually you three made it into an open area quite far from the sewer drain you were quite used too, but you didn't mind. They then turned to you and back to then repeatedly before both sighing. "You don't know nen do you?" Of course you looked confused, "Nen..?" You question. Ging sighed before we somehow pulled a wine glass from his coat which started you. He ran over to the closest water source and filled it to the brim before he placed it down on the grass and the plucked a leaf from a nearby tree and placed it on top. "Put your hands around the glass and concentrate on the water, if you have nen something will happen to it." You blinked at him in confusion but continued anyway, you put your hands around the glass and concentrated on it. Closing you eyes you awaited something to happen, the water started to increase and overflow. "An enhancer..." they both say. You questioned them before standing up, stretching slightly. Before you could even do anything a kick was sent your way which hit you straight in the stomach that sent you flying. "H-HEY!" You yelled as you quickly got up and ran at them, trying to at least fight them back, but ging simply stopped you. "You need a lot of work on you..." he stated.
"Try controlling your nen" he stated
That statement made you ponder for a moment but you quickly went to work on controlling nen. Everyday for the past week you would go outside and control your nen so you could handle large amounts of it. You being able to handle a decent amount of it made you confident in yourself, you continued this process for the week before you and kite met with ging again. This time you were able to fight them both without getting seriously injured which was a plus.
It had been a few hours since the practice you had earlier, you were currently looking at the abandoned buildings around you wanting to see if you can find something good and or interesting. In the middle of your search you found a few weapons, A small knife, a Scythe, and a Gun. This shocked you a little seeing as how such weapons were left here but you took interest in the scythe. Picking it up and examining it, it wasn't too big for you not to handle and you could swing it around decently, you liked it a lot so you took it back with you.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Kite yelled catching you off guard "oh its a scythe I found while looking in the buildings, I liked it so I took it back!" You said in a little cheerful voice. Kite sighed before snatching it from you to examine it. It was quite sturdy and clean for something thats been left in a building for a few years but he handed it back to you, sighing and saying.
"Fine, you can keep it..."
"YAY!"
