As a child growing up in a poor family, the main character vows to make lots of money and live a good life. To this end, she drops out of school early and goes out to work, never complaining no matter how hard or tiring it gets. Year after year of overwork leads her to fall ill from exhaustion. Bedridden, she begins to ponder: "What does man live for? Is living just for money worthwhile? Do people really become happy when they get rich?" In pain and feeling helpless, Almighty God's salvation in the last days comes upon her. From Almighty God's words she learns the root of mankind's pain and how people can live a meaningful life. She resolves to change her life and seek submission to God. Ultimately, she enjoys peace and stability she's never known before. Her injury truly brings her blessing through misfortune.
