Chapter 9 . Impriosonment

I walked through the pit . The cold airs long icey fingers danced around me pulling me forward . The shock of the cold fighting through my shirt sent an electric pulse through my veins . I pushed through the double doors of the hallways , out of the pit . I followed the black stained glass tiles all the way back to my apartment . I pushed open the door slowly . Expecting the rush of question , and yelling to welcome me but all there was ....... Was silence .
Eric laid on my black and white checkered bed , tris wrapped early in his arms . She gave the occasional whimper when he moved . The doctor sat beside them both in my desk roller chair examining the bruises on her arms and pressing her long , pale fingers , to her ribs . Two broad shouldered men stood on the opposite side of the room and Uriah sat in the arm chair by the small lamp table . Eric's eyes wondered the room for a minute before his cold graze fell on me . He gave a quick flick of his boned chin . Uriah sat there quietly , his eyes full of pity , and close to tears .... But none fell .

The two men in the back pulled the guns from their side aimed at ............me
" what's going on ? " they began to inch closer screaming orders . Get to the ground . Place any weapons out of range of your body , hands behind your back . I stood frozen saying nothing . Eric stood placing tris back onto the bed . Turning around revealing the small tear that had escaped the harsh stiffness of his cold expression . His eyes hit me like a gun shot . Uriah kept his head down . Tris laid asleep , or unconscious , on the bed , and the men continued to inch closer and closer to me . " I trusted you , I LOVE HER , YOU WHERE MY FRIEND . I TOOK YOU IN , I SAVED YOUR ASS FROM FACTIONLESS , FROM THE DEATH OF A DIVERGENT , AND YOU DO THIS ," he screamed loudly as he pointed a long boney finger towards tris . What was he talking about ? Suddenly it hit me ! " Uriah , URIAH , WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM ?" A hard bang came from behind me , I hit the ground against my will as I struggled under another broad shouldered man . But it was useless . Eric screamed over my frequent cries as the mans hand connected we my back or ribs or face until my face bleed and I was still .
" I trusted you ." He said . And gave his chin another nod . One of the men pulled the door open as the others dragged me out of the room . People flooded into the hallway . As if I needed an audience. My mother stood their her eyes watching me closely . I didn't do it , was all I said . And she nodded as if she understood , her eyes fell through the crack of the door where Uriah sat . I tried to stand but pain erupted from the middle of my back and the man hit me in the back with the butt of the gun . Causing me to cry out . My mother let our a small cry as well and ran to my side . It was all I wanted . I wanted her to pull me into her arms as if I was a child again but I knew that was unlikely . But she tried and that was enough shock . She placed her arms around my neck , squishing hard , begging the guard to stop . He took the butt of the gun into his other hand . And lundged . My mom hit the floor with a bang . Shauna came to her aid as well as Madeline , a dauntless born . Who graduated the same year as me . The dragged me down the hallway . And Eric followed .
They shoved me into a car . The man quickly released . Saying frequent apologies . What was going on . The guard moved to the front seat , Eric sat next to me . He held a first aid kit in his hand. I let my head fall back against the window . He pulled out th rubbing alcohol and put it in what seemed to be a gauze. Pressing it gently on the gash on the left side of my forehead . " I'm sorry we had to do that . But it was mandatory . Tobias and Uriah both confirmed it was you ......" As he rambled on I kept my head back not bothering to listen . " that's why we are sending you to amity , so people can believe you where kicked out ." My head jerked up . " what ????"
I guess he got that I wasn't listening so he said the same thing as before " we are taking you to amity so they think you are FACTIONLESS , when Uriah confesses to the crime you can be set free . Your parents will be with you , since they have guard duty , they will stay with amity at night . Tris , your parents , and the faction board will know ."
I just nodded my head in agreement " will amity know ?" "

" as far as they know , a dauntless member is coming to amity due to a court mixup , that is not to be discussed unless it is you who is discussing it . Tris and I will visit . But besides that we ask that you cut all connections with anyone inside the fence as well as dauntless ."
" like I would contact them after that scene ." I replied smartly he just smiled and nodded . After he was finished with the first aid kit . He closed it , latched it and placed it under the seat . We pulled onto the gravel coved road . The wheels slid roughly between the covered and uncovered patches of dirt . Causing the vehicle to move with out grace . A girl stood out side the compound . A smile on her face as she waited for the car to come at a complete stop at her feet . Here I go , into the unknown boundaries of peace ........ Unknown for a dauntless at least .
