Chapter 2, Book 1

With Panema gone, Winter was without a pool mate. The next morning I get up and I go over to CMA to check on Winter, she and Mazie were my priority at CMA. When we needed to pair Winter with another dolphin, I had suggested we pair her with Mazie, but they said that would be impossible. But I knew they were wrong. I wanted to at least try. I wanted them to agree to pair winter and Mandy, but Mandy was ready to go home, home back to the wild. Me, my sister, my dad, and Sawyer and the rest of the team were apart of the release of Mandy

"I figured you girls have been on enough of these releases, why don't you two take over" Clay said

"Are you serious?" I asked

"Yeah, you can do this in your sleep, just don't" Clay said

"Clay, she's leaning a little, is that fine?" Kat asked

"Yeah, that's fine Kat, just keep her steady" Hazel replied

"You got it" Kat replied back.

"Good job girls" Clay said

They got the to beach and brought Mandy out with the stretcher

"Kyle do you read me?" Hazel asked over the radio

"Who's this? I'm sorry. Is this you phoebe?" Kyle asked

"Its Hazel and Crystal" Hazel responded back

"Its Hazel and Crystal" he said to the guys in the boat with him "yeah, we're reading you loud and clear girls"

Hazel went into the water far enough until it was up to her chest

"Alright stop here" Hazel said and she turned around towards her team "the transmitter?"

"Its all good" Phoebe said

"We're good here Kyle you got a signal?" Hazel asked through her radio

"Yeah, its nice and strong" Kyle responded back through the radio

"Alright, left side on three. One, two, three" Hazel said

They lowered the left side and the people on that side held onto Mandy

"Right side on three. One, two, three" Hazel said

They lowered the right side and the people on that side also held onto Mandy

"Everyone ready?" Hazel asked as she looked at her team

They pushed Mandy into the water and watched her take off into the ocean to return home to the pod

"Hold on, there's something coming" Kyle said over his radio "and they're coming fast"

"What do you see Kyle" Hazel said over her radio

"I don't know, a school of something, sharks maybe?" Kyle responded

"Dad look" Hazel handed Clay the binoculars and he looked

"Dolphins" he said

"A whole pod" Sawyer responded

"Kyle their bottlenose" Hazel said

"Are you sure?" He asked

"Yeah" Hazel responded. She turned to the beach "look everyone, they're dolphins"

Suddenly the dolphins came out of the water and we cheered

"Looks like they've given her a hero's welcome" Clay said as he hugged me and Hazel.

Hey guys, I know its a short chapter, I'll be writing another chapter about Mazie and Winter being Paired, then I'll be doing another book continuing the series, no hate comments, hope y'all liked the chapter
