Aliaa's POV
"Hey," I happily greeted.
"Hello wifey," came a familiar voice which I haven't listen for the last two months which vanished my smile.
"Raj,"
My eyes fluttered open abruptly and I sat on the bed sweating and huffing. I looked around while taking deep breaths to see it was morning. The sun had risen, birds were chirping. I could hear my mom was cooking something in the kitchen. Grabbing my phone from the bedside table, I saw it was 7 am. I was late for my morning defense class. But I didn't think I could attend it because of the nightmare I just saw.
What if he came out of jail? He got bail or he ran away or something. No, No, don't think like this Alia. I thought in my mind.
If Raj was out then Ayaan would have known and he wouldn't have left for New York leaving you here. It's probably because of you slept without Ayaan last night. Ayaan has become an addiction to you. That's why you had that nightmare and nothing else. My subconscious replied.
But I still had that creepy feeling in me that someone was watching me. I looked towards the window to notice that it was open. And I clearly remembered that I closed it because I knew Ayaan won't be coming from it.
Don't overthink Alia. My subconscious snapped me from my thoughts.
Shaking all those thoughts away, I walked towards the bathroom and did my business. After that, I brushed my teeth. I had a scowl on my face. First, Ayaan was not there with me brushing. I still remember how we used to brush together teasing and making fun of each other before Ayaan used to leave for his house. But now, I had to do it alone without any teasing and Ayaan's stupid jokes. And second, because of that nightmare. It was still in my head.
I hurriedly took a bath. And went outside to decide what to wear. I still had to go to the office.
Sadly. I can't decline it or else everyone will think that boss is getting too generous towards me giving me leave now and then. Already people think in the office that something is going between me and Abhinav, like an affair. Thank god, Ayaan didn't know about those rumors, or else Abhinav will have to pay a price.
Brushing all thoughts away, I decided to wear Ayaan's black shirt, which was also stolen by one and only me. I matched it with blue ripped jeans and black heels. I kept my hair open. For my makeup, I applied Kajal and pink lip gloss. I wore a golden chain which I brought from the street shopping on my birthday with Ayaan. And I was ready to go.
