It was Saturday which meant no school, and Beomgyu had a free day.
He and Taehyun had originally made plans to go to the movies, but that was dropped since Taehyun had a family emergency.
Beomgyu lays on his bed, as he looks at a polaroid from his freshmen year of highschool. Freshmen and sophomores had gone on a trip to an amusement park. Beomgyu stood between Soobin and Taehyun while holding a hotdog with a ketchup stain on his shirt. Taehyun stood on the right of Beomgyu, holding a blue wad of cotton candy, and Soobin stood on the left holding a small bag of souvenirs and treats that he had bought throughout the day.
Beomgyu laughed at the memories of the fun they all had that day.
A soft knock comes from outside his door.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!" Beomgyu responds.
A dark brown haired woman (aka his foster mother, Eunjung) peaks her head into his room.
"Hey hon, are you busy?" She asks.
"Nope, why what happened?"
"Oh it's nothing, I just feel like I haven't had a chance to talk to you since you've been busy with school all week."
She comes in and sits by the boys bed. Beomgyu sits up on his bed.
"Ohh what's this?" She looks at the polaroid laying on his bed.
"Oh that was a picture from freshmen year. Our class went to an amusement park as our end of the year trip and me, Soobin and Tae took that picture together."
She smiles at the picture before placing it back down.
"I wish I could've gotten to meet that Soobin kid, he looks nice." She says.
Eunjung knew a lot about Beomgyu's friends since he felt comfortable talking to her about them often. But...there was one thing she didn't know.
It's that Soobin is Beomgyu's boyfriend.
Beomgyu hadn't even come out to Eunjung since he's been staying with her. He wasn't sure why.
"I really miss Soobin..." Beomgyu says quietly. "He's really special to me."
"Aww it's okay Gyu. You know, it's okay to be sad and miss people. Just know that no matter what, I'll always be here right by your side." She says.
The boy began to tear up.
That sounds like something his mom would say.
That IS something his mom would say.
At certain points, she was the only one Beomgyu had, and they only had each other.
"Um Eunjung...Soobin...Soobin's my boyfriend." Beomgyu reveals.
