"Okay what's the plan genius." I snarl.
Jordan shoots me a glare as he spreads the blueprints across the table.
"Raiden posts up here with his sniper rifle and takes out the main guards, source says there will be two of them armed with handguns. We enter here, clear the main floor of the house and then Damien follows behind with the drill. Vault is in the basement." Jordan explains.
"Basement? Is there a window in this basement in case we need a backup escape plan?" I challenge.
"We won't need a backup, there will be two guards in front of the safe that we'll take out when we get down there. We'll open the vault with the drill, load the bags and then head to the exit point meeting Raiden at the van.""When?"
"Midnight."
He tries to look me in the eyes, but I avoid his gaze. Without another word I walk out of the planning room. The more I hear about this job the more I hate it. I head for the balcony for a smoke but Ali steps in front of me before I can get there.
"You don't like it do you?" She asks.
She can already see the answer in my eyes.
I sigh, "I hate it. But there's no changing his mind."
She's silent for a minute.
"Why is he doing this?"
"I honestly don't know."
"Please be safe, I don't know what I'd do if either of you got hurt."
I stare at me feet, I want to say so much more but I don't want to worry her, that won't help anyone. At this point I think it's better if I just keep my mouth shut. When I look up, I see her staring over my shoulder. I look back and it's Jordan.I sigh, "Give us a sec."
She stares at Jordan for a few more seconds and then walks back to her bedroom.
"Balcony now." He demands angrily.
Here we go again.
I start following him to the balcony. We pass Damien and he goes to follow us, but I raise my hand and signal him to stop. We don't need an audience for this.
I open the door and walk outside first. He slams the sliding door behind me.
"What the fuck did you say to Ali?" He snaps.
"I told her the same thing I told you, that I don't like the job."
"Yeah and what else?"
"That's it."
"Bullshit I seen the look on her face."
"So, let me get this straight, you're accusing me of lying about lying to my best friend?"
"No, I'm accusing you of going behind my back to try and sabotage this!"
"Going behind your back? Do you even know me? I have no issue telling you to your face that I think this job is the stupidest idea you've ever had."
"Then don't be such a coward and admit you told Ali something!"
"I didn't have to tell her anything because she's not a fucking idiot!"
"I know that, and that's why she understood why this job was a good thing up until you talked to her!"
"She was my best friend long before she was ever your girlfriend and I know there's no way in hell she ever thought this was a good idea."
"So that's what this is? Your jealous and now you're trying to wreck this?"
"You know what, you are acting so fucking selfish." I scoff.
"Selfish? How the fuck am I being selfish!" He explodes stepping towards me.
"Because if you actually gave a shit about how she feels you wouldn't do this fucking job!"
I step closer, leaving only a few inches between us.
"If you would get your head out of your ass, you'd realize you're only being like this because you're not in charge for once!"
I finally lose it.
"Go fuck yourself you stupid selfish fucking prick!"
I shove him as hard as I can. He stumbles back a couple steps and then storms back up to me.
"Do it I fucking dare you!" I yell taunting him.
DAMIEN POV
I stand with Courtney and Raiden in the living room, watching as Jada and Jordan's conversation escalates.
The sliding doors aren't exactly soundproof.
"Should we do something?" I ask.
"I don't know, I've never seen them argue like this."
Raiden admits.
"I'll put a hundred bucks on J." Courtney laughs.
Ali comes running out of her bedroom.
"What the hell is with all the yelling?" She asks.
No one says anything we just continue staring out the doors. She follows our gaze and her eyes go wide as she see's them on the balcony.
Suddenly Jada shoves Jordan.
He storms back up to her and I run over, I open the door and quickly get between them.
"Get the fuck out of here Damien!" He yells, never taking his eyes off J.
"What the hell is going on with you two"? I sputter.
"Why don't you go ahead and explain, Jordan? Tell him what a selfish fucking asshole you are!" Jada yells out.
He tries to get closer to her and I push him back. He grabs me by the shirt and pushes me into the wall. Courtney and Raiden jump out onto the balcony and step into the middle of it before they can get closer to each other again.
"J look at me." Courtney says trying to reason with her.
Raiden tries the same with Jordan.
"Why don't you just go fuck yourself Jada!" He yells out.
"Why don't you fucking come over here and say that!" She shouts back.
She gives Courtney a shove and Jordan tries to break the grip that Raiden has on him. Between the four of them the screaming escalates to the point where you can't even tell what's being said anymore. I try to help Raiden with Jordan as Kyler comes running out to help break up Courtney and J who look like they're about to scrap each other.
"ENOUGH!"
A distinct scream echoes through the air and everyone stops and looks over.
Ali's standing in the doorway.
