JADA POV
"You're both fucking idiots!" Ali screams.
Tears start to fall down her cheeks and she turns around and angrily walks to her bedroom. You can hear her slam the door.
I look at Jordan and he stares back at me. Everyone else stands around as they wait for one of us to say something.
Jordan lets out a loud exhale. He turns to say something to me, I wait to hear what kind of bullshit comes out of his mouth next. To my surprise he just shakes his head and turns around.
As Jordan walks away, I stand there still seeing red and breathing heavily. As everyone else stands there staring at me, I grab one of the chairs we pushed away and take a seat, putting my head into my hands in frustration.
I hear the sliding door close and people walk away.
Someone stays and pulls up a chair across from me.
Without even looking up I already know it's Damien.
"Are you okay?" He asks quietly.
I just shake my head.
I am not okay. I'm not okay about us doing this job, I'm not okay about upsetting Ali, but most of all I'm not okay about fighting with Jordan like that. We've had a few arguments since starting these jobs but never anything that got so out of hand. It feels like shit.
He passes me his pack of smokes and a lighter. I take one out, light it, and lean back in my chair trying to catch my breath. My chest feels heavy and my lungs feel empty.
I take a few deep breaths and finally get my breathing back to normal.
"I just... I don't even know what happened." I shake, "He just exploded. I've never seen him like that."
"I'm sure he feels bad about it."
"Well it wasn't like I acted any better."
"He shouldn't have expected anything else."
"Maybe... I just don't understand how it escalated so fast." I sigh.
"It might have had something to do with you calling him a selfish prick." He jokes.
I laugh pathetically and stare off into the city.
Maybe the money has gone to his head a little bit, but I'd be lying if I said it hadn't also changed me.
"Give him a little bit to cool down and then go talk to him again." Damien suggests.
We finish our smokes and then sit there in silence, overlooking the city. I finally sigh and get up, walking back inside. Damien follows behind me.
As I walk back into the kitchen Jordan walks out of Ali's bedroom and into his own, closing the door behind him. I see a couple boxes of pizza sitting on the kitchen table. I grab two plates and put a couple slices on both. Taking a deep breath, I walk to Jordan's room and knock on the door.
"What?" He asks.
"It's me, I'm coming in."
I don't wait for him to answer I just open the door. He's sitting on his bed, clearly frustrated. I walk in cautiously, hoping he doesn't immediately freak out on me again. I sit beside him on the bed and then place a plate on his lap.
"Peace offering?"
"Thanks." He mutters.
He looks at me for a few seconds and then sighs.
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have lost it like that."
"Well to be fair, I wasn't any better."
"I just didn't want Ali to be freaked out."
"Well I think we fucked that up." I joke.
He scoffs, "You think?"
"Ali may be my best friend, but you're my brother. I wouldn't go behind your back like that."
"Well I'm feeling like a pretty shitty brother right now."
"If it makes you feel better, I'm a pretty shit sister."
"I blame dad." Jordan declares.
"Yeah I like that. I blame him too."
We can't help but laugh.
He pauses, "I still want to do the job."
"I know." I take a bite of my pizza, "And I still don't like it."
"I know." He laughs.
We sit there and finish eating.
"How's Ali?"
"Still pretty pissed off."
"Want me to talk to her?"
"No, I think I'll try bringing her pizza." He laughs.
"Worked for me."
I put down my plate and give him a hug.
"So, we're good?" I ask.
"Always."
He pulls away and gives me small smile. I get up and walk out of his room and into the kitchen to grab some water. Raiden and Courtney are standing around the island talking.
"You know you made me break a nail." Courtney grumbles as I walk up.
I sigh, "I will buy you a new set of nails."
"While you're handing out 'I'm sorry gifts' I'd like the new PlayStation." Raiden chimes.
I stare at them both dumbfounded, "You're literally both millionaires."
"It's really the though that counts." Raiden states.
I shake my head and walk away. Idiots.
I walk into my bedroom and see Damien is laying in my bed again.
"I'm never getting rid of you, am I?" I ask sarcastically as I lean against my door frame.
"Nope." He says as a sly grin spreads across his face.
"Fine, just don't get any ideas."
"Wouldn't dream of it doll face, I know how close you keep your gun."
He laughs and then stands up and walks over to me. He cups my face and kisses me. I kiss him back and wrap my arms around his neck. As our kiss deepens he moves his hands to my thighs. He squeezes them tightly and then lifts me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and grip his shoulders even tighter.
I take one hand and push my door shut, as soon as it's closed he pins me against the wall. I know this is such a bad idea, but that's making it so much hotter.
He grips my hips even tighter and I put both my hands on the collar of his shirt and tug it to bring him closer to me. I feel his excitement as he starts to carry me over to my bed. Without missing a beat he lays me down on the bed so that he's standing between my legs.
As our kissing intensifies he moves his lips to my ear and whispers "Are you sure?"
I prop myself up on my elbows and he looks at me, waiting for my response.
"I'm going to need a little less of that," I explain as I take his hand and put it around my neck "and a little more of this."
He looks at me almost surprised, but then a sly grin spreads across his face as he bites his lip.
I grab him by the shirt collar and start kissing him again. As he starts to climb onto the bed I push him over and then sit on top of him. With his hands firmly grasping my hips I pull off my shirt and throw it on the floor, he sits up so that he's able to kiss my chest. As his grip tightens around my waist I grab his shirt collar again, and this time I pull it as hard as I can so that it rips open.
He smirks, "I didn't like that shirt anyways."
