Chapter 4

Shairo's POV:

Man, this was it, once someone found the body, trial would start...Poor Leon...I'm gonna do everything i can to makes sure he doesn't get punished..."A body has been discovered!!" Oh god..Leon glanced at me and i gave him a nod...when we got to the room...it was so gruesome...not something Leon would've ever done on his own, he didn't have the heart to kill anyone! Poor Naegi passed out...understandable, his best friend was just killed... Monokuma said to gather in the gym, once Naegi woke, we would all look for clues as to who the murderer was. Ishimaru kept on screaming about how absurd this was...and everyone else was silent...this was real all of this was actually happening...we had to kill to get out of here! Soon Naegi joined us in the gym..after tons of arguing we all went to look for clues. I went to where Sayaka was and took a good look at the knife.."yup...suicide..." "Huh..how can you tell?" Asahina was behind me "The way the knife is in her..there's no way someone could've lodged that into her like that" Aasahin came behind me to get a closer look "As much as that makes sense...we cant be sure....Naegi and Yamada found Hagakure's crystal ball and a burned shirt in the incinerator room" My eyes widen and i dash down to find Naegi "Naegi!! Naegi!!" He turns around "H-Huh? what is it Nagimi?" "No one killed Maizono! She killed herself!" He bit his lip "How do you know?" "The way the knife was lodged into her chest! there's no way anyone could comfortably get it in like that! she had to have stabbed herself!" He thought long and hard before speaking up "You may be right...but we cant be sure...lets wait to find more evidence" I sighed and nodded...soon enough, trial started and we were headed down to the trial room. Leon gripped my hand tightly, he was scared, he didn't want to die...and i was gonna make sure he didn't. We walked into the room and i stood beside Leon. Enoshima died earlier for trying to fight the principle. God...Lets do this... We started the debate..."She didn't even have a chance to resist..." Chihiro said...I glanced at Leon before nodding, "Yeah but the killer must have struggled a bit" Everyone nodded before Mondo spoke up " So the killer used some random knife they had on 'em..." "No! The killer didn't have the knife! Maizono did! Me and Sakura were in the kitchen enjoying some tea when all of the sudden Maizono came in! She said she was thirsty and we thought nothing of it!" "Wait wait wait...who's Sakura?" Mondo said.."That would be me..." Sakura spoke up "Ah sorry my bad" "Its alright...Yes...Maizono came down to get a drink...as she was walking back up i noticed a knife gone"  I nodded "So Maizono already had the knife on her..she must have been planning to kill someone that night..." Could she have been planning to kill Leon? "So the killer must have broken into the bathroom because Maizono locked it!" Yamada said "Thats where you're wrong!" (A/N: naegi i love you please marry me) "Huh? Man what the hell are we missing?" Said Hagakure "Me and Sayaka switched rooms! she was scared and came to me for comfort, so i let her stay in my room for the night and i stayed in hers!" Something didn't add up..."That doesn't make sense...when i looked Sayaka was clearly in her room! Her name plate was on the door!" I looked at Naegi.. "Ah but if you look on our log...It says that the room Maizono was in was Naegi's" Kirigiri said "That means...if Maizono was successful...she would be right here pointing the blame on Naegi" Togami said "No!! She'd never do that!! we were friends!!" "Oh please! that means nothing here...just face it naegi she was trying to frame you!" "Enough!! we still don't know who the culprut is!!" I was getting fed up at this point..."Man we're fresh outta clues!" Leon said "No you're wrong!!" (A/N: MARRY ME PLEASE NAEGI) "Huh? What am i missing?" "Sayaka left a dying message, one written in blood on the wall behind her" "You mean that random string of numbers? hey you're supposed to be good with numbers! what does it mean!?" Mondo turned to Chihiro "I tried every description in the book, its not code i know im sorry!" Poor Chihiro was shaking "That because its not code, its a name! 11037, if you turn the numbers 180 degrees, you get L-E-O-N well would you look at that, thats your name isnt it, Leon Kuwata!" Leon froze, before yelling trying to defend himself "Without evidence, it's all bullshit! It's bullshit and I refuse to acknowledge it! Its stupid stupid stupid stupid!! stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid!!" Oh no... "Heres what i think happened! Last night, the killer went to the room Sayaka was in. In other words, my room. From what we can tell, Sayaka invited that person there intending to kill them. She attacked them with the knife she'd taken from the kitchen earlier......but then something happened that she wasn't prepared for. They grabbed the fake sword I'd put in my room, and fought back.During the struggle, a strike from the sword broke Sayaka's right wrist... And that's when she lost her grip on the kitchen knife.Finding herself cornered, Sayaka panicked and ran into the bathroom. The killer went after her, but couldn't get the bathroom door open. What they didn't know was that my bathroom door got stuck easily, and there was a trick to opening it. Sayaka knew about that because I'd told her, but of course the killer had no way of knowing. So instead, the killer forced the door open, took the kitchen knife......and stabbed Sayaka. But with what strength she had remaining, Sayaka left a dying message... To keep the killer from noticing, she wrote it on the wall behind her...And with that, all her strength was gone.With Sayaka dead, the killer quickly began destroying the evidence. First, they took off their shirt, which was covered in their victim's blood. Then they took the lint roller in my room and cleaned up the entire area. They wanted to make sure they got rid of any trace they'd ever been there...Afterwards, the killer headed to the trash room to destroy their bloody shirt. They tried to burn the shirt using the incinerator there. But the trash room was blocked off by an especially sturdy gate, preventing access to the incinerator. So they came up with a plan to use Hiro's crystal ball, which he'd left in the laundry room. The killer managed to throw the ball through the gap in the gate and hit the incinerator's switch. For any normal person, that'd be an impossible throw, but the killer had the confidence to take a shot. And that's because the killer... was the Ultimate Baseball Star. The crystal ball, thrown with absolute precision, hit the switch on the incinerator... which then quickly roared to life.Having destroyed the final piece of evidence, they left the area with, I imagine, a sigh of relief. But there was one thing they missed... Part of the shirt they'd thrown into the fire burnt away and fell out of the incinerator. The killer didn't notice this, and so left behind a piece of indisputable evidence. Isn't that right...Leon!?" He froze...unable to process what happened. "Ah but you see Naegi...there's one small detail you've over looked...the placement of the knife" (A/N: Shairo really just said no<3)  "H-Huh?" "The way the knife was lodged into her abdomen...there's no way anyone, especially Leon, could comfortably get the knife in there without dislocating their shoulder or collar bone (A/N: can you even dislocate your collar bone?) So here's what happened...instead of Leon going in to and killing Sayaka..he went in to find her already dead...and to explain the numbers Sayaka must've written that to try and frame Leon for her death." Naegi looked at me...surprised...he wanted to argue back but he couldn't. He knew i was right. "Wh-What if you're lying to us!!?" Fukawa spoke up, before i could answer Kirigiri backed me up "Why would she lie just to kill herself? Why would she lie if she knows that'll get her no where?" I smiled and nodded "Then its settled...Monokuma start the vote" Naegi said. Monokuma, shocked started the vote...I was right...Sayaka Maizono killed herself...Everyone sighed and left the Trial room "Hey...Naegi?" He turned to me with sad eyes "Listen...I'm sorry about Sayaka...i know you we're close with her and it must be hard" He shook his head. "No need to apologize..its alright" I nodded and we went our separate ways. God..i can't wait to get out of here...
