Blood. Blood was everywhere. Dead bodies were scattered. The Weasleys were crying terribly. Arthur, Molly and Ginny all crying over someone. But I couldn't help them. It was too late.

I woke up with a start, gasping for air which suddenly seemed so foreign to me. I was so tired of these nightmares. Rolling over on the bed, I glanced to see that it was only 4 in the morning. An exaggerated groan escaped from my lips as I threw my head back onto my pillows. I didn't want to get up but there was no way I was going to fall back asleep. Keeping that in mind, I dragged myself up deciding to go for a walk on the grounds.

Hours and hours later, I found myself at my desk trying to finish the marking. I didn't have a class now so I had to do something worth while. After I finished one set of essays I opened another book beside me. It had all different recipes for hundreds of potions. I borrowed it from Severus until I was able to buy a copy for myself. I opened it to the page for sleeping potions and found exactly what I was looking for: "Peaceful Sleep"

Brewing this potion wouldn't prove to be too difficult and I already had most of the ingredients. What I didn't have in my modest storage, I'd shop for on Saturday. I knew Severus would give me his ingredients but I didn't want to bother him for it. My finger ran down the ingredients but stopped when I came across a leaf that I didn't own.

"Professor Sprout should have this in her greenhouse," I mumbled. Instantly, I shut the book and made my way to her.

I finally reached the greenhouse and, thankfully, her class hadn't started. I found her tending to some odd looking plant as I walked over to her.

"Hello, Professor, I need a plant leaf for the potion Peaceful Sleep," I mentioned, standing beside her.

"Ah, yes. I know the one you are talking about. Having trouble sleeping, huh?" She asked, moving over to another plant.

"Yeah, I've been getting these terrible nightmares and I really need some sleep."

She looked at me sympathetically as she began to cut off the leaves, very carefully. Just as she did that, her class walked in. I looked over to see that they were second years so I immediately search for Draco, Ron, Hermione and Harry. Draco smiled at me while the trio waved, I returned all the gestures.

Then who else walks through the doors but Lockhart. I hadn't spoken to him at all since the term began. To be quiet honest, I was avoiding him. His glamorous stories and lush hair may capture the hearts of some women but not me. He started blabbing to Professor Sprout about how he knew so much more then her due to his countless adventures in the dangerous and vengeful forests. I blocked him out unable to handle his utter stupidity. He was so obnoxious.

All of a sudden he realized that I was patiently waiting for Professor Sprout. He looked at me with a keen interest and sung, "Well hello there. I don't think we have met before. You probably already know who I am but what is your name?"

"Professor Stacey Angela Ringe," I replied blandly. Haven't met before? We sat at the same bloody table since September!

"Well what a lovely name for a lovely lady," He flirted.

A few of the girls awed at that but I wasn't the least bit impressed. You don't tell a woman you didn't notice her presence for a good month before telling her that she's beautiful!

I shifted awkwardly in my spot as I answered, "Um, thank you."

I didn't really know what else to say. He was obviously upset that I didn't compliment him back so he continued, "I thought I was the most beautiful person in this school but then I saw you."

Now all the girls in the class, including Hermione, burst out in a chorused awe. Professor Sprout just stood back, with her arms folded across her chest and an amused grin on her face. I on the other hand just raised my eyebrows, while most of the boys were just watching in horror.
