"The World of Galileo"
by @Bensonary
The world is at peace. Surrounded by water, enough coconuts to last the next five years, and the silence of the island, only filled by the swishing of waves.
I was alone. But I wasn't bored. I had my shell to play with, along with a whole bunch of leaves falling from the lone coconut tree.
Yet, I was discontent. I longed for adventure, and curiosity kills me, day by day. What lay on the other side of the ocean? What lies under the ocean?
Every day, as I wake up, seeing the sea, these questions come back to gnaw at me. One day, I drank and ate large amounts of coconut, said goodbye to my favourite rock, and set out, out into the ocean, out to sea, out to adventure. If you enjoyed this and would like to read more, click on the dedication link.
