Josh POV
I called 911 in a state of panic. I paced the floor as Maya screamed. Ashlyn came running out of her room. Daddy mommy sad? I went over and picked her up. Hey princess guess what your new little sibling is coming. She stared wiggling and ran away yelling noooo!!! I shook my head we can deal with her later. Finally the ambulance came and Ashlyn and I followed behind. We arrived at the hospital and met with the doctor. Hey doc what's going on? He sighed well even though the baby isn't due for another 3 weeks it's early. My eyes widened is it going to be okay? He nodded yes everything should be perfectly have your daughter wait here and you can be with Maya. I knelt down next to Ashlyn. Hey princess daddy's going to be right back just wait here. Riley arrived just then and I gave Ashlyn to her. Riley wished me luck and I ran off.
Riley POV
I sat Ashlyn on my lap as we waited. I don't think she really knew what exactly was going on. I think she knew that a baby was coming. We've been waiting for almost 3 hours by now and Ashlyn is getting anxious. Mommy yet? I kept shaking my head sorry sweet heart not yet! Finally a nurse came out and we rushed over. Are you two here for Maya Hart. I nodded anxiously yes what's going on?! She sighed well there's a minor complication. The baby is backwards so Maya need emergency surgery if this baby wants to stay alive. I hugged Ashlyn as I cried. If this baby didn't come it would change everything. Maya and Josh have been through so much I don't think they can handle this blow. Ashlyn fell asleep around 8:30, but there was no way I could. I was pacing back and forth when Josh came out. Hey Riley Maya just got out of surgery and the baby is perfectly healthy! I squealed and grabbed Ashlyn. We rushed to the hospital room and walked in. Maya was laying on the bed with a little baby in a bundle of blankets. She looked up and smiled at a now awake Ashlyn. Hey Ashlyn she whispered come meet your new baby brother! She walked over and waved at him hi baby. Maya laughed actually his name is Gavin Joshua Matthews. I looked at Gavin who was asleep he looks so precious. I went over and hugged Josh congrats guys you make great parents.
